Anyone else think this is how it's going to go? Nate didn't come home the night before the wedding. He completely avoided contact with Maddy in any way shape or form, other than an intense glance at one point after his mother's speech (likely keeping an eye that she wasn't about to cause a scene). He acted as if she didn't exist. I'm wondering if the reason for this, and the reason for no direct contact/interaction/scene is a way to keep us in the dark for a bit longer. As Maddy entered the wedding the voiceover said she was unsure if she wanted to get in between Cassie and Nate or make money. She also said herself "I can't believe they actually got married." as they were having their photos taken. I just feel like if there were any scenes or actual interaction we would need to see some sort of explained emotion from them in some way. We seem Maddy looking emotional, but we do not have an actual answer about what (obviously we assume it's many things, her first love, the life she should have had, losing her friend, all their history together) or maybe it's the fact that Nate actually went through with the wedding and married Cassie, after Maddy possibly thinking he wouldn't. I can't help but keeping them from interacting was deliberate to throw us off, and all will be revealed down the road. We also see an extremely looooong makeout session as Nate and Cassie's first married kiss. Maybe to rub it in Maddy's face, or to prove how "in love" with Cassie he is for his guilty conscience. Who knows lol, just a theory.
