How did you stop chest sleeping?

I have a three month old who has only ever slept on my chest. I figured out that it is due to silent reflux (thanks Reddit!) which has been confirmed by our pediatrician. It seems to be getting better though. I have successfully managed to c-curl with him once or twice so far. But we can’t do it for longer than one sleep cycle. As soon as he wakes up and I try to nurse him back to sleep side lying, he just won’t fall asleep. I tried tucking him in really close, not letting him roll onto his back while nursing and using a pacifier as soon as he’s done breastfeeding. But he just won’t go back to sleep like that. Of course, it might still be because of his silent reflux, I’m now just looking for some success stories because I feel quite discouraged. And in pain, my back is absolutely not made for sleeping like that. Ironic since all I wanted to do at the end of pregnancy was lay on my back.
