So having changed my name last year this was the first election I voted as me. I’m still waiting to start my medical transition but all id bar passport is changed.
My advice is if you can use a heavyweight I’d like a driving licence as I had a pretty horrible experience.
I voted before and they basically just glanced at my id this time. I passed it to a lady who looked a me like I was scum and held my I’d for about 10 seconds while looking at me and not saything anything.
she asked me to confirm my name then begrudgingly gave me a ballot paper.
As a TERF goes she was quite clever cos how do you complain against that. I dont even know her name.
But I get the distinct feeling if it was a passport with deed poll (like I saw earlier on here) she would have stopped me from voting.
