Evap leak code P0455
I have a 2016 chevy cruze limited. I just had a used engine swap (dumb decision but it's where I'm at) After getting it, immediately my rear main seal was leaking...a lot. After fighting with the shop that they should've changed that, he didn't want to go back for free and do it but we came to an agreement that they would go back and change it. I also had the above code popping up and was told they needed to drop the tank to check it. He said that he'd change the seal and drop the tank to fix my code for 450. He then called to say that i needed a new fuel canister and attached hoses. My question is, he's now saying to change that, it's 4-5 hours of labor but he would give me "a deal" and only charge me 1.5 hours labor to change it. I bought the canister because he wanted to charge me 200 for that and I found it way cheaper. Is he trying to screw me for that 1.5 hours labor or should that be part of the 450 we originallyagreed on? Especially when he's saying its going to take 4-5 hours and that's a deal he's giving me? Side note, he also changed my thermostat that all of a sudden needed changing.
