Robinhood Gold Card denied my disputes involving 49 transactions — here’s why there were 49
Before anyone asks “49 disputes???” — these were not 49 random purchases from different stores.
The charges were from prop firms, mainly Topstep and My Funded Futures, and the 49 transactions were multiple fees/purchases made with those services over time, totaling about $6,071.90.
The reason I disputed them was because I eventually had payouts denied and my accounts banned/closed without what I felt was a clear or justified explanation. At that point, I disputed the related charges because I believed I had paid for services under expectations that were no longer being honored.
I sent the disputes through my Robinhood Gold Card and explained what happened. Robinhood ultimately denied them and basically told me their decision was final.
I understand that filing a dispute does not automatically mean the cardholder deserves a refund, and the bank has to review both sides. My issue is that after spending over $6,000, having payouts denied, losing access to the accounts, and then having Robinhood reject the disputes, I felt like I had basically no protection at all.
That experience completely changed how I look at the Robinhood Gold Card. The 3% cash back sounds great, but rewards don’t mean much if you don’t trust the dispute process when something serious happens.
