Book Cover mockup
I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, with a great love for Tolkien. So I've been meaning to update my portfolio work with some book covers, and the first book I wanted to make a cover for was...The Fellowship of the Ring. Because this was the first book that introduced me to the world of Tolkien and made me fall in love with fantasy. I cannot express how much I love The Lord of The Rings. In fact, in my family, we had a tradition of watching all the movies for Christmas. The books though were in my teen years a safe place and a space to let my mind drift and imagine.
I had this image in my head for a while, with the Fellowship walking across the snowy pass of Caradhras, so I wanted that on the front cover. On the back I illustrated the Shire and the Ringwraiths approaching the Prancing Pony. For the interior, I chose the moment Strider meets the hobbits and illustrated that.
