Hi! I bought the DeLonghi EC 702 off Facebook Marketplace, and it seems the seller may have sold me a broken machine. Machine powers on, heats up, and when I press the espresso button I hear the pressure building but no water comes through the group head and after a minute of this the grounds are still bone dry. The steam wand works great however, so I assume the pump works. I have tried descaling with water and vinegar, but no luck. I can’t seem to figure out how to take apart the machine to see if there’s a block and I’m nervous to try more aggressively.
Is there anyway of seeing where the block is or figuring out what’s disrupting the water flow to the group head? I would really love to fix this, the machine seems to work fine other than this.
Any advice welcome! I am in NYC area if you know of any technicians, but obviously would rather fix it myself if possible.
