Magnifica plus vs duo

Hi !
No review yet (or very few ) for the duo. From what I can see
Duo: can make cold drinks, but are they really cold or just a gimmick where you have to put ICE and hot cofee drop on the ice ?

Is extraction time is the same as on the plus ?

Is duo worth 100$ more

No Touch screen….good or bad ?

Anyone have seen and tested both ?

Thanks !’

Delonghi Dinamica Milk container issue

Hi all.

My coffee machine was sitting in storage for a while and because of that the milk container is now stuck and wont detach from the machine. Any advice on how I can pry it loose?

Also, before anyone asks, I didn’t pack it attached, it was someone else😅

Need advice on how to disassemble the Delonghi PAC EM82K.1

Dear community of r/Airconditioners,

Today I attempted to deep clean my Delonghi Pac Em82K.1

I removed every possible screw I could find, but nothing from the outer casing would move at all except for the top display panel (and only slightly). I looked everywhere online, but could not find a guide neither by Delonghi or by other people on how to disassemble it.

Therefore I wonder if anyone here could help me figure out how to disassemble this unit so I can properly clean it, to make sure it functions as long as possible.

I have a suspicion that it is being held in place by very annoying and stubborn plastic clips. I tried prying open the top but to no avail.

I just sent an e-mail to their customer support team but I am skeptic they will help me as this seems intentionally designed not to be easily opened ... So I am trying all possible avenues in advance.

Thank you

Delonghi la specialista maestro trips rccb

Hello I’m trying to descale the machine but about 1 minute in to the cycle it trips the electric rccb then when I try it turn it back on it trips it straight away unless left overnight to cooldown etc. I can’t use the machine until I descale it. I’ve had the top of the machine off and the sides but can’t see any water leaks etc. unfortunately I don’t have an insulation tester. I have tried a multimeter but tests are coming back fine. Could it be the thermablock at fault?

Delonghi venezia red triangle of doom

Hi. My coffee machine refuses to make coffee since about a week. When i press the power button, the infuser moves a little and then the triangle warning sign lights on. I don't know why, the manual says this red triangle you see in the video is caused by dirt. So i completely cleaned it, i even opened it. It was a pain in the ass and it still doesn't work. If anybody knows what could cause this, please help me. Apparently, i'm not the only one facing this issue with this coffee machine but i've find the answer nowhere.

De'Longhi Magnifica Plus (ECAM322.70.SB) suddenly brews much hotter than the setting, and a full descale didn't fix it

My Magnifica Plus ECAM322.70.SB has started dispensing noticeably hotter coffee than it used to. The brew temperature is set to the low end and I never changed it. I'd like a sanity check on my thinking before I pay for service.

What I've already done, so please don't just say "descale it":

* Descaled with genuine De'Longhi EcoDecalk, full cycle, completed properly. Still running hot after 8 to 10 brews since.
* Water hardness is on the hardest setting, so the machine has been prompting and descaling aggressively.
* The problem showed up right after the machine got used for about 4 to 5 days while it was already asking for a descale (I was away and someone kept brewing). Descaling twice, afterwards did not fix it.
* Only prior repair was a warranty job a few months ago: they cleared a clog at the hot water / milk spout and replaced the entire 3.5" touch display unit. It ran perfectly for months after that.

My reasoning: as I understand it, a scaled-up machine usually brews cooler, not hotter, because scale slows heat transfer into the water. The one way scale makes coffee hotter is by restricting flow, so the water sits longer against the hot block. My pour speed and cup volume look normal. So I'm leaning toward the NTC temperature sensor reading low, or the main board not cutting the heater at the target temp. A cosmetic display swap shouldn't touch heater control, so I doubt the earlier repair caused it.

Questions:

* Has anyone had the NTC temperature sensor drift low on an ECAM322 (or similar) and cause overheating? Is it a DIY-accessible part or a full service job to reach it?
* Any known control board or firmware quirks on this series that affect brew temperature?
* Roughly what should the hot water tap read on this model? I'm going to measure it so I have an actual number in degrees C.

Thanks in advance.

Loud squeaky sound from [De’Longhi EC860]

Hi! I’ve had this machine for a while and a couple of years ago it started making this loud squeaky/chirpy sound when making espresso. It does not make that sound when using then steamer/frother.

I tried having it serviced, but was told it was fine and the person said the labor really wasn’t worth it because this machine is not really made to be serviced easily. I was told to keep using it, which I have, and it still produces great espresso, just very loud loudly.

Thoughts on what could be causing this? Is this something that I can try to fix myself? (No, I do not have experience working on espresso machines hahaha).

I de-scale it today, but no changes.
That makes that sound with or without the portafilter.

Model: De’Longhi EC860

Is it dead (DeLonghi Magnifica) ?

It stopped making coffee so I've dissambled it and washed the brewing unit. Then, I had clicked self-washing button, but then it started making loud sounds and started vibrating. I've toggled the power (on the back) and enabled it again. Then, after it fully enabled, I tried to make some coffee. But it started maming EVEN LOUDER and REALLY bad low-frequency clicking sounds (that are NOT okay) and vibrating really bad, so I've toggled the power again.. and, now, it's not even passing power-on self-diagnosis. The red LEDs just blink in the same pattern: from left to right, with same ~1sec delay

I hope it's not broken..

Issue with the grinder - De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo

Today, while grinding coffee, the grinder suddenly started making an unusual, quite loud noise that I had never heard before. It also stopped before finishing grinding the full amount of coffee.
At first, I thought there might not be enough coffee beans in the container, so I added more and tried again. Unfortunately, this did not make any difference and the same issue occurred.
I have attached a video where you can hear the unusual sound the grinder is making. I would really appreciate your help in identifying what might be causing this issue and what I should do next.

De’Longhi portafilter keeps falling off mid-brew. Any fix?

I’ve got this old De’Longhi machine and recently the portafilter has stopped staying locked in place. It ends up coming loose and falling off mid-brew.

It doesn’t seem to be caused by limescale, and it gets noticeably worse when there’s coffee in the portafilter. The rubber seal inside the machine looks fine, and the mechanism still seems to move normally when empty, as you can see in the video.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and whether it’s something that can be fixed? Or is it finally time for a new machine?

Broken Out The Box

Straight out of the box, brand new, and it's giving me an error. If I pull up on the front of it, I can hear a sensor on the inside click, but it goes right back when I stop lifting up on it. Did I get a defective unit?

Machine was stuck when grinding, no ground coffee coming out [Delonghi la specialista Arte]

Hi All, Started to have grinder issue, it basically stuck and not coming out with any ground coffee even though the motor is spinning. Fortunately the motor is not burned but this is why l'm posting the problem here to check with you guys who more au fair with this machine. So I took it apart to clean and found that when the top part of the burr is taken out, it spins fine but when replaced the top burr back in and set it on the finest setting, it does that "brake" at the end, is this normal I suppose? When I set it to 2nd finest, it doesn't do it Have I potentially got a motor or grinder assembly issue? Thanks in advance

What are these pieces?

Scoop for scale. Magnifica Duo.

There’s a little black pillar and a smoke colored plastic cap looking thing that were loose inside the water reservoir.

I’m assuming they’re supposed to go in the channel in the bottom of the reservoir, but the cap doesn’t clip to anything or stay in place. If I rest it on top, they both just float up as soon as water is in the tank.

The machine isn’t good about detecting when it’s out of water so I’m wondering if it has something to do with that? But I cannot find any instructions or diagrams showing how to install it properly.

Limpieza y desmineralizacion

la specialista not grinding an enough amount

Hello, I recently picked up a la specialista espresso machine that was neglected, which caused the grinder motor to fail. I took apart the machine and cleaned it inside and out and also replaced the grinder motor and assembly, reusing the old attachments and put everything together. The new motor works and does not jam up as the old one did however, the grind amount does not seem to be enough. Changing the grind setting does not change the amount at all. Has anyone faced this issue before? If so, how do I fix it and is there some sort of factory reset that I can do?

De’Longhi Magnifica Start – “water circuit empty” error won’t clear.

Hey guys. My Magnifica is making problems. Yesterday I wanted to make two coffe. The first one came out totally normal,.the 2nd one right afterwards caused an error. I tried to fix it with help of KI. It didn't work, so now I am hoping you can help me.

So this is the problem (KI summarised it, as I am not fluent in English):

My De’Longhi Magnifica Start suddenly stopped working. It ground the coffee beans, but before brewing, it stopped and indicated that the coffee grounds container was full. After emptying and reinserting it, I started getting the red warning light + flashing Steam light, indicating that the water circuit is empty.

Things we’ve already tried:

Completely cleaned the machine, including the brew unit and coffee bean container.

Checked and emptied/reinserted the drip tray and grounds container.

Removed the water tank and checked the valve — water flows normally.

Left the machine unplugged overnight.

Reinserted the brew unit correctly.

Followed the recommended Steam/water circuit priming procedure several times.

When opening the hot-water/steam valve, water comes out normally for about 4–5 seconds, then stops automatically.

However, the error never clears. The red warning light and Steam light continue flashing, and the machine never becomes ready to make coffee.

So the machine is clearly able to pump water, but it seems unable to recognize that the water circuit has been filled.

Any ideas what could cause this? Could it be the flow meter/water flow sensor, or something else?

Steam / water spot not working

Delonghi prima donna elite.

Machine grinds and produces espresso no problem but the steam and water spout have stopped working.

Weirdly steam does come out of the drip tray for some reason.

I have tried descaling / cleaning but nothing seems to fix it.

Any ideas?
