Quick question about drip tray…
Ok I have to ask….did DeLonghi intentionally design this drip tray insert to make it as difficult as possible to clean ? 🤣 better off not even using it lmao

Hi everyone,
My DeLonghi Magnifica is stuck during startup because the automatic rinse won't start.
It started after I made a coffee. About 5 minutes later I noticed a burnt smell. The machine became very hot, and the plastic around the thermoblock slightly melted (I checked it when i opened it).
Now, when I turn it on:
I've already checked the thermoblock and hoses: no visible limescale or blockage, air passes through the thermoblock, and the wires/connectors look fine. I also disconnected the inlet hose to the thermoblock, and only a tiny amount of water came out when I power it back on (no autorinse).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
This coffee machine is blinking fast all the time.
For a couple of times it worked and pumped hot water.
I opened all the electronics and tested the continuity for the thermal fuses, all the heaters, pumps, etc. All of them have continuity.
I have tried with or without milk container, with descaling nozzle. The same behaviour, as seen in the video.
Disaster has struck, I've only been able to have 1 espresso today!
The grinder is making a strange noise. I emptied the beans and it doesn't look right, but I don't know what it looked like before it broke.
Anyone have any ideas what has gone wrong here?
Yesterday the Rivelia arrived. This morning we tried to make espresso and cappuccino. Only very weak coffee came out. When I removed the drip tray, there were no coffee grounds in it. I then opened the side panel to look at the brew group. Coffee grounds were still sitting on the brew group. When I prepare more espressos, over time freshly ground coffee also falls into the tray from the front and back.
Also, the grinding is very short. The machine might not even been calibrated?
Is the brew group defective?
I would appreciate any experiences and advice.
I took my whole machine apart to refurbish it and left with this brass ferrel.
Good people if reddit I need help!
My machine is grinding but no coffee comes out. I cleaned the grinder, applied new grease on the rings but still nothing comes out. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of problem it could be? Thanks in advance
Hi everyone. I have the Magnifica Plus for about 4 months now and was really excited about the machine after lots of research. At the start the coffee was great, experimented with Lavazza beans and was happy. In the warmer months now I have started to want iced coffee but have been BITTERLY disappointed. I have tried it all, grind setting, descale, rinse, stronger beans (about 5 different bags), heat setting, took the mechanism out to clean it - the coffee is WEAK tasting and bitter at times. I used the “iced coffee” setting but typically like brewing the double espresso manually.
Has anyone gone through this already? It’s an expensive machine, bought with the intention of saving money down the road. However, I have been spending money out in coffee shops again due to the results. PLEASE HELP.
So UPS delivered my air conditioner which are sold out constantly due to the heat wave. It was shipped to me on Tuesday and this is how it has arrived. I was so excited to get it that i ran outside when i saw UPS outside my house. But for a few mins the guy could be heard inside the van sellotaping. Well it was my package. And to top it off he brought it out of the van upside down which looking at this mess seems like it has traveled thousands of miles upside down. 1000 euros for this. Really?
I got a Magnifica Plus about 6 months ago. My water tested level 2. I make 2 coffees/day and change the filter every 2 months. So far, after 6 months, I've never received a descale alert on the machine. Is this normal considering my water hardness and only making 2 coffees/day? The coffees taste great - should I descale anyway, however?
Hello, recently my dinamica started leaking so I took it apart and made a video. Sorry the quality is not that perfect but it looks like it sprays hot water out near the insert towards the brewer.
Is that a material problem with micro fraction so it can't hold the pressure anymore and is it replaceable?
(Sorry I do not know the correct words for the parts. I have some electrical knowledge but not specifically coffee machines)
Edit Tried to make a photo, seems like a small fracture. picture
Edite: Thank you, with your help I found how the faulty part is named and could remove it. Replacement is already shipping.
Hello! Hoping for some advice on next steps:
About a year and a half ago, I bought a Magnifica Start automatic with the lattecrema milk frother (ECAM22080B) . I love it and it was always such a lovely start to my day, an absolutely worthwhile investment for my lifestyle.
A few months ago, the small part connecting the tank to the machine broke and calling the result a "leak" would be reductive. Water everywhere. Link to the image of the part for context:
I have tried:
-Contacting customer service (I got ghosted)
-Contacting my local coffee repair shop (also ghosted)
-Looking for the individual part online to replace (none; only one I found is expensive and won't ship to Canada)
-Looking to replace the entire tank (can't find anywhere)
-Using foodsafe glue to put the connection piece back together. I think a small bit got lost and it won't stay together.
I feel like I'm out of options. The machine itself works wonders but this renders it entirely unusable. Should I just give up and get a different machine?
The milk intake tube also ripped in half early on and I had to find an offbrand one and cut it because customer service wasn't able to help then, either. It's also the second Delonghi product I buy that disappoints, so I'm feeling pretty discouraged by the brand overall.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a brand new Eletta Explore and looks like I’m already running into issues straight out of the box. I have yet to even run the machine and I’m getting a “General alarm: please refer to user manual” and “Please insert the brewing unit” messages. I’ve filled the coffee tank, put the espresso beans in, and attached the water spout when these messages started to appear. I’ve noticed the brewing unit is locked in place and I can’t remove it. From seeing other pictures online, my unit appears to be misaligned but it’s completely stuck when I try to remove it. I’ve tried unplugging and plugging the machine multiple times but the unit still hasn’t aligned. And not sure if this matters, but the machine is pretty lopsided and uneven on my counter. Even the drip tray seems uneven when attached to the machine.
Anyone run into similar issues and had success troubleshooting? Any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi, I have an issue with eletta explore 450g. My brewer units rods connected to the gears (they perform opposite direction movements) can’t perform full cycle which causes piston movement can’t be completed and puck can’t be delivered.
How can I solve this issue on my own?
Every time I try to make coffee my brewer unit rods aren’t in this position and unit can’t deliver puck to grounds container.
Note: This is a completely new machine.
Does anyone know where I can get a new milk carafe from? Wife has put ours into our babies steriliser and it’s shrunk the jug so now the lid and parts won’t fit on it correctly
I've cleaned everything I can find/think of. The brew chamber, trays, wiped everything is can see inside. I've never used preground. This light started about the time I ran out of beans. It is full of beans now. I've poked around with a chop stick, but everything seems normal. The machine still works and I've still been making cappuccino for a few days (been like this for almost a week). Help?
Hi everyone, I just completed the steam wand upgrade using the Rancilio Silvia V1/V2 Steam Wand. When screwing the nozzle tip onto the wand, there's this rubber O-ring squeezing out, which I can't squeeze inside. I've checked the product image and guides on YouTube and don't see the same. Is this supposed to happen?
Attached are some pics.
Thanks in advance
