My girlfriend recently spoke to a councillor about an experience with her parent, she’s 19 and we live in Ontario, Canada. There was a misunderstanding that her underage brother was present while her mom struck her which made the councillor contact CPS. This did not happen and my girlfriend and her mom made up very soon after. My girlfriend ended up contacting the case worker who agreed with her and said she’d try closing the case yet a few weeks later this morning her mom received a call from them. My girlfriend is from a South Asian household where parents are very pride driven and now she’s terrified to face them. Is there anything she can do to reverse the damage or somehow prevent any further investigation.
