I changed the oil for the first time in my LS430 and when I cranked it after the oil change I heard a split second of what I would describe as ticking from either the top end or the bottom end. It went away after a second or less and the car is running dead smooth like it normally does now. Is this normal? I've changed the oil in dozens of vehicles and have never noticed that happen. Then again, I've never owned a car with an engine this quiet, so maybe everything does it and you just don't notice. I would have pre filled the oil filter but you can't on these cars because they're sideways. Just making sure there's nothing I need to be doing I really don't want to screw up my engine. My car only has 143,000 Mi on it.
