TV volume control flickering issue
Got Denon 770h second from eBay as I try to upgrade my setup piece by piece ( I need 8k pass through )
My TV is LG C4 77".
I noticed that every time I switch hdmi port on TV to Hdmi 2 which is earc so I can see my avr setup UI on TV. The volume control will keep flicker between TV and Avr all the time. I can still use the UI but it's quite annoying to see that. I also noticed the same when using PS5 pass through but since I decided to just connect PS5 directly to TV then the sound only go to avr via earc so it dint bother me much.
It can happen sometime when watching TV but rarely.
I did some research and it mrntion that this might be an issue with cec control between TV and avr where it try to take priority of sound and end up switching between TV sound and avr sound ( hence TV volume control keep flicker ). There were several suggestions but nothing work so far.
Anyone has similar issues before ? Or do u have any idea how to fix it. I was just worried it might be an issue with avr hdmi port itself as it feels a bit loose but when I try to jiggle it into position that doesn't properly the sound will just switch to TV completely , not flickering, so it might not be the case.
