By strictly prioritizing regulatory form over democratic substance, the CJB ruling presents a profound paradox HAHA a candidate has been “affirmed” to office despite the fact that majority of the student body actively chose not to support either candidates.

While they correctly pointed toward future constitutional amendments to resolve this, the resolution in itself stands as a prime example of how rigid adherence to legal technicalities can entirely subvert the apparent will of the majority.

What a reflection of the larger society out there.

The second-hand embarrassment for this specific student council. Ewan ko kung may nakasagap na rin ng chika na 'to pero nakakairita yung unprofessionalism sa recent event nila.

What happened was they invited guest bands to perform. Pumayag na nga yung bands to accommodate them (lowballed tfs btw) tapos binigyan sila ng early morning call time sa campus. Dumating naman daw yung mga banda on time, nag message na sila na andun na sila, pero guess what? GHOSTED. As in walang nagrereply sa kanila kahit isa.

Tapos after waiting for almost two hours, tsaka lang biglang nag-reply yung Chief of Staff nila saying na cancelled daw yung event kasi may issue sa approval as early as 4:30 AM pa lang. Like... hello??? 4:30 AM niyo pa pala alam na cancelled, bakit hindi niyo agad sinabihan yung mga tao bago sila bumiyahe at maghintay sa inyo?

Tapos the gag is, biglang around lunchtime, may nag-message naman another one from them saying na "miscommunication" lang daw yung sinabi nung Chief of Staff at TULOY daw talaga yung event. Na-delay lang daw yung setup. Tinanong pa nila kung gusto pa ba tumugtog nung mga banda. Siyempre umatras na mga yun, HELLO THE DISRESPECT DUH? And until now, tahimik lang daw yung project heads at walang man lang proper apology.

Pero wait lmaaaaaooooaooaoa there's more. Hindi lang guest bands ang victims ng incompetencies. Pati yung mga mismong competing bands. Pinapunta daw sila ng 7-8 AM sa campus. Literal na they waited for them there kasi wala ring sumasalubong or nag-uupdate sa kanila all morning.

Ang pinaka-malalang chika na umiikot bakit walang nagrereply sa kahit kanino that morning? NAKATULOG daw ang OIC. 💀 Imagine, araw ng event niyo tapos nganga lahat ng ininvite niyo kasi napasarap tulog mo?

May nakakaalam ba ng buong story dito? Afaik tinuloy na lang daw as concert para hindi sayang efforts. What the freak nakakahiya sa constituents niyo. Do better as "student leaders" pls lang.
