Mabibigyan kaya ako ng mental health clearance?

Hi! For context, I filed for a LOA a year ago due to mental health reasons. This would mean na I would have to go through the process of getting a mental health clearance for me to be able to return and enroll. I believe the first step is providing a medical certificate stating that I'm fit to return to school from my attending psychiatrist. I've had the same psychiatrist since 2023 and I got the med cert needed to file my LOA from him. My college has accepted it naman. I read somewhere in here that the med cert needed to return has to come from a diplomate, fellow or life fellow of Philippine Psychiatric Association. Unfortunately, I've only recently learned that my psychiatrist isn't a member of the PPA upon asking him as well as searching his name on the PPA website. Now I'm honestly worried that I won't be given a mental health clearance and get to enroll for the sem because of this. I don't want to be delayed any further especially since I still have friends in the batch I'm supposed to be a part of upon coming back. Is there really no chance for them to accept the medical certificate from my psychiatrist? I don't think any other psychiatrist would give me a med cert on our first consultation. Besides, the enrollment is just around the corner and it would be too late by then. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Is there any way I can work around this? Do I have no chance of enrolling for this sem? Because if I don't, I might just transfer to another school :(

P.S. I already emailed my college with my inquiries on returning but I've yet to receive a reply (it's been 2 weeks). I need to know if I have a chance because one of the schools I'm eyeing to transfer to has already began classes and I'm running out of options. It would really help if someone who has been on the same situation can offer their insights!

Ustshs STEM: is it super hirap makapasok?

In regard to the title, I’m planning to take the entrance exam for ustshs this yr for AY ’27-‘28 po (oct/jan test sched afaik). Math is not exactly my forte, like legit, Im not good at it nor do I like it. But I have to take stem since that‘s what aligns to my dream course.

Mataas po ba cut off ng STEM? im worried baka hindi talaga ako ma qualify due to how competitive it is. im planning to study math everyday starting now, Idk if that’ll be enough 😭 I have a solid foundation on eng/sci, rocky lang talaga when it comes to math. Pinapangunahan me ng takot to the point I’m considering other school agad or going for HUMSS even tho it doesnt align w my preferred course.

what a yapathon pero it all circles back to the question in the title po hehe. Need tips & honest reality check 😭😭😭

Missing my Manila life— my UST adventure

I dropped out of UST last March for a stupid reason— hindi ko magets why I thought I was just so bored back then in general and decided to move overseas. I had no idea gaano kalaki yung mawawala sakin. Hindi ko naisip na before I passed the entrance exam, I've always seen or envisioned this version of me living in España for 4 years, loving the campus warmth during the summer heat, during the events such as Agape & Paskuhan and loving the cozy cold, rainy weather during typhoon season in my España condo with my roomie. Grabe, ang dami kong nilet go just because naatat akong umalis ng Pilipinas. Ang tanga ko lang everytime I cry about it dahil dito ko lang narealize, after moving, na hindi ko na maeexperience yung buong 4 years with my friends, with my blockmates at sobrang bigat talaga sa puso. I could've just stayed and finish the entire 4 years instead of studying for just 6 months but why did I let my impulsive mind win? Ang tanga ko, diba??

Yes, I am thankful na naranasan ko yung Freshie Walk. Grateful dahil naranasan ko yung UAAP Opening Ceremony habang basa sa ulan at yung Agape & Paskuhan. Really, it feels like it was just yesterday tuwing naaalala ko. It's just that I fear like this will haunt me forever na: this "something", this feeling na hindi ko na mababalikan ang pagiging college student, living independently in España. I wish I was exaggerating but no, this pain feels like I've been stabbed the moment I walked out of the arch and the knife is still inside me. How do I move on?

COS Alums, how long did it take you to land your first job?

Hello! I’m a UST-COS freshie and I’m curious on:

  1. how long do COS grads landed their first job?
  2. In what field/line of work?
  3. Whats your starting salary?
  4. Did you have to finish masterals first?

I’m currently an environmental biology freshie and I just wanna see what I’ll be working with when I eventually graduate as I’m planning on doing work while taking my masters degree before I proceed to law school.

Answers will be well appreciated!

MACBOOK or IPAD?

Hello! An upcoming freshman here from the artlets faculty (legma). What’s more advisable to purchase, an ipad or macbook? also, will be planning to use it na rin until sa law school. I will also be purchasing this with my own savings huhu so medyo difficult for me to choose since I saved up for this. Thanks for those who will be answering!

wtf is wrong with UST Offices

Lahat ng sistema ang babagal, important documents ang bagal maprocess sakanila, then if inask na irush ang succeeding documents tatawanan pa na di possible marush yun pero sakanila naiipit yung process. For a university whose core values is Competence, Commitment, and Compassion parang mema sabi lang lahat kasi ang daming incompetent sa office, even higher ups di committed sa work nila, and let’s not even talk about compassion.

Help me to find a spot where i can place my tusoka-tusok cart around UST MANILA

Hi thomasians! It's my first time running in this kind of business, i thought it was easy like pwesto pwesto nalang kung saan saan 😁. Yun pala andaming naninita, there was a time na nasita kami around dapitan st dahil bawal daw (well wala ako idea sorry talaga since hindi ko alam ang kalakaran). 2 hrs lang kami nakapagbent@ sa harap ng gate 10 and guess what, people really loved our products, packaging, sauces, and how hygienic our cart was! So I was eyeing to get a permit or atleast a pwesto na pwedeng mabayaran daily or monthly para hindi na kami mapaalis (anywhere basta around UST 😁). I would love to hear if may mga suggestions kayo or kilala na pwedeng makausap in regards with this, dahil gusto na naming makapagbent@ 😭😭😭. Thank you guys in advance!
