A couple of questions
Hi all, just had a few questions if someone could clarify. Not sure if it had been explained and I missed it or if it’s yet to be answered.
They say the children were born in the dark and died in the dark. I’ve assumed that they were maybe delivered in the root cellar like Fatima’s demon child and then taken down to the caves; however, the sacrifices aren’t babies. They would have needed to be breast fed and kept alive so they could be sacrificed later. So were they allowed to initially stay with their parents? OG Jade and Tabitha refused to sacrifice their child, so were they allowed to bring her/him up in the village and then refuse or did they initial say yes and then go back to save them? If they lived in such an awful place they would have surely left so I’m thinking the not being able to leave thing had already started.
The current setting is semi modernish - when does the setting change? It looks the same as when victor arrived, so does it change when every single person is dead? We have the ruins and the settlement but there were other dates in the bottles but seemingly no sign of where they maybe lived? I know colony house is probably older than say the diner but wouldn’t there be signs of structures from other dates/ eras? If one child always survives like victor did then there is always one person left over so surely at some point someone would ask why a new building popped up?
