The North in AWOW

In the books, the North is the poorest region of the nine regions, along with the Iron Islands. I was wondering, how will the North prepare itself for the Long Night? I am talking about logistics, politics, and strategy.

First, who will lead the North? Jon Snow, or Rickon Stark with Wyman Manderly as regent?

Second, how will they feed the population of the North? Robb went south with a lot of food, and the Ironborn and Boltons sacked a lot of northern castles and their food stores. They need to feed hundreds of thousands of smallfolk for years of winter.

Finally, with what army will they fight the Long Night? The Wildlings, maybe, but they are not very disciplined and they don't have good armor and weapons. Also, the Northmen and the Wildlings hate each other. Maybe they could use the last soldiers of the North that Robb didn't have time to wait for. Or maybe Sansa could bring the 20,000 Vale soldiers? Maybe the Manderlys could buy food with their new ships?
