Bank account for donations
Hi there!
Since I started earning money on my own, I’ve been wanting to financially help out charities-make donations for good causes. However, I am also skeptical of giving out my card information for online payments. Because of that I thought, huh, wouldn’t it be a good idea to have a bank account only for that purpose? I could transfer the exact amount of money I am planning to donate from my personal account to my “donation” account. That way I won’t have to worry about my funds being stolen for whatever reason. Although, ofc, I plan to properly research the institutions I’ll be helping out, but you never know.
So, I’m here to get some advice and know if that idea is good, and if so, how I can manage it wisely. Also, I am a layperson in finances, so I’m not sure if there is any legal/tax/fee related aspects of doing that.
