Need info about the militarstreife

I'm trying to assemble my new impression, the Militarstreife uniform, but I want to do it properly. I've seen the items needed to assemble the impression, but I have several questions to do it correctly; here they are:

- First, I seem to recall seeing that the Grenztruppen participated in this field of duty, so it seems inconsistent to see a Grenz with the Streife items ?

Two, I would like to know which part should be put on and when (cap cover, armband, etc.)

What is the difference between the kommandantendienst and the streife (it seems to me that it is just a change of name but we will see)?

Were all men called upon to do striping as a service, or were some specialized?

Is it normal to see an officer on a patrol of the streife, or only non-commissioned officers and enlisted men?

Thanks in advance to those who reply; too little information is available online.

My grenztruppen uniform (Earlymodern)

A small reenactment focused on the Grenztruppen der DDR, the East German border troops who were responsible for guarding the GDR’s borders. Their work revolved around border patrols, strict security, and maintaining control along the inner German border and the Berlin Wall, in a highly disciplined and political system.

In our group, I act as deputy to the company commander for border security, mainly handling coordination and field organization. My friend Arno (a_lowenstein_grenz) plays a Leutnant in the political branch, responsible for morale and ideological supervision within the unit.

We represent both the Felddienst and Dienst uniforms to show the contrast between field operations and more formal duties.

(Btw I already know that I look like the chudjak)

Just got back from my latest event and wanted to share a few moments with you all.

We spent the day setting up a small field camp in a wooded area.

The atmosphere was a great mix between more serious moments and just enjoying time with others who share the same passion.

If anyone has feedback or tips to improve the setup, I’m always open to suggestions.

I have already been told about the regulations on the closed collar (I confused it with the winter regulations)
