Strichtarn gas mask bag

Guten Tag zusammen! I'm visiting this page due to my (unique?) strichtarn accessory wich is a gas mask in the common NVA pattern and mostly because I'm still quite of a rookie in reconstructions. My first full body wich I decided to do is a regular Schütze. At the moment, I have a jacket, trousers, suspenders with a belt and that bag, although everytime I see a profile of a regular soldier it's with a grey rubbery one. I've read that camouflage bag is really rare and barely seen, never really widely issued. So my question is; would it be a problem to use it for the profile? And how rare it actually is, because to some sites it's almost a unicorn like. Is the one I have even real???

(I got it from my uncle, who was not part of the NVA, although was a conscript of the Warsaw Pact)

Assistance from a Marine

I have a model AAV that is for wargaming and I haven't been able to find reliable and/or steady marking places. What kind of things/places are on AAVs? Doesn't just have to be official markings only either.

This is being sold on Facebook marketplace for $35

I don’t really collect items like this but saw this and thought it was pretty cool it’s in my size but I feel like the price is too good to be true. Any insight would be great.

2004 Stand 21 FIA Race Suit: Eric Berger / VLN / Porsche? Looking for Info & Value

I picked this up at a thrift store in the UK for £45 and I’m trying to figure out exactly what I have.
It’s a Stand 21 racing suit, with the inside label showing:
● FIA 8856-2000
● Homologation RS.017.02
● Stand 21
● Manufactured in 2004
● VLN branding
● treenet.de sponsorship
● Porsche branding
● German flag
● “Eric Berger” embroidered directly onto the belt
I’ve found references to an Eric Berger racing Porsche in VLN/Nürburgring endurance racing, including a Steam Racing Porsche 996 GT3 RS, so I’m wondering if this is actually his personal/race-used suit.
I’m especially interested in:

  1. What exact series/team/car/year this suit was used with
  2. Whether anyone can find photos of Eric Berger wearing this exact suit
  3. What the treenet.de / Steam Racing connection was
  4. Whether this is a genuine race-used suit or just team/driver apparel
  5. What you think it’s worth today, both as a general vintage FIA suit and with confirmed Eric Berger provenance
  6. Any information about Stand 21 RS.017.02 / ST 021 from this period
I’m not planning to sell it immediately, I mostly want to learn what I actually found. Any help identifying the history would be massively appreciated.
Photos of the full suit and the FIA/Stand 21 label attached.

Need info about the militarstreife

I'm trying to assemble my new impression, the Militarstreife uniform, but I want to do it properly. I've seen the items needed to assemble the impression, but I have several questions to do it correctly; here they are:

- First, I seem to recall seeing that the Grenztruppen participated in this field of duty, so it seems inconsistent to see a Grenz with the Streife items ?

Two, I would like to know which part should be put on and when (cap cover, armband, etc.)

What is the difference between the kommandantendienst and the streife (it seems to me that it is just a change of name but we will see)?

Were all men called upon to do striping as a service, or were some specialized?

Is it normal to see an officer on a patrol of the streife, or only non-commissioned officers and enlisted men?

Thanks in advance to those who reply; too little information is available online.

I’m starting a reenactment group with some friends (east german motorized infantry) and would like to know more about the uniform specifics, like different types of m/56 stahlhelms, gasmasks and just general stuff that is Necessary to know before actually going thru with it.

I have (more or less accurately) replicated this Kasernenausweis in Photoshop

I actually only had this example to go off of.
I have never seen one before either; I do not know if that was actually something soldiers received.
Online research provided little to no help in these regards.

Still: If its something of interest I can provide the pdf files to print for yourself or the photoshop files for yourself to edit.
