Making friends

As the name suggests, I’m trying to make friends, but I find it so hard because like I’m so effeminate.I’ve been told that the fact that I’m confident with myself mixed with being a feminine kind of intimidates people, which personally I find discouraging. and so I’m trying to break out of my comfort zone, especially since I’m in a new school and in my final year. I’ve already been told that I’m social and extroverted, but it’s like how do you make friends as someone who is a male but feminine. Tips and tricks for both males and females 😭

Hi everyone,

I’m 18 (male) and an international student trying to plan a pathway to study in Germany. I’ll likely be staying with family in Ferney-Voltaire (France) since it’s much cheaper for me (I won’t need accommodation), but I’ve been looking at German language schools in Geneva because there seem to be more structured/intensive options there.

One thing I’m confused about is the visa situation. If I live in France but attend a language school in Switzerland, what visa would I need? Is this even possible legally, or would I need a Swiss student visa instead of a French one?

I’m also specifically looking for schools that can provide official enrolment documents to support a student visa application. I haven’t really found strong options in Ferney itself most seem to be small language centres that don’t offer visa support whereas some schools in Geneva look more suitable.

Has anyone done something similar (living in France and studying in Geneva)? What were the requirements or challenges?

Any advice would really help, especially from people familiar with the France–Switzerland border situation.

Thanks!
