Does anyone know of any places that have sales for grass seed? Or if Twin Cities or United ever run sales?
I basically don’t buy anything unless it comes from Costco, but I’ve been branching out for lawn care items thanks to this group.
Last year I basically bought a ton of the Scott’s Sun & Shade mix on sale from Costco and it turned out pretty well when I over-seeded in the fall. Since my lawn was primarily weeds and it was my first time with seeding, I figured it was a lower risk endeavor than going with straight seed from one of the big boys.
Now that I’m brimming with confidence I’m ready to be humbled with the likes of Resilience II or a similar variant from United. The prices are just tough to swallow.
It definitely helps knowing that Scott’s was basically only 50% seed, so the value is there, but I wouldn’t mind insight on any sales.
