Increasing Storage Capacity Or Leave As Is?

Model: Clara Colour

I don't have many books at the moment, but was needing some advice on if a storage capacity upgrade is worth — I will be away from any form of internet service for about 6-8 months. Due to that, I am currently planning to stockpile a massive backlog prior to this departure. I don't plan to do anything super insane and formatting the new microSD wouldn't be an issue (I plan to go for a 32GB). I just don't want to go through with this only to find out I spent my time on a pointless upgrade.

For those with a larger library that is either pushing the limit of capacity or has exceeded it, how many books did you have to get up to before upgrading?

Shoes: ON Cloud X 4 (about 6 months of use)
Strike: Forefoot (practicing forefoot, I used to heel strike, but was told it was bad form and have been working on forefoot striking since last November)

I was running an average of 2 miles, 5x a week, but due to severe shin splints I had to almost stop entirely. Not sure what caused it, but it's now something I will periodically have some issues with causing me to run about 3-5 miles a day, only twice a week at most now. I am wanting to get into longer distance and even signing up for my first 8k next month, but from what I've heard is that these shoes are by no means designed for longer distances and my feet are starting to notice it.
I absolutely love the wider toe box, light weight, and less foam of my Clouds (I prefer lower stack shoes, teetering on pretty much barefoot). The issue is, I'm trying to get more seriously into the hobby as it's pretty enjoyable doing my two runs in the week, but the research has left me more stumped than knowledgeable.

Whether it's a shoe recommendation, form, or what to look at for my needs (heel drop, stack, etc) I will take whatever information I can to help educate my next buy.
