I have a Canadian RRSP account and was looking to do a position transfer from another broker to IBKR. I tried the ATON method - rejected. Got an email instructing me to fill out a paper form and attach it to a new ticket. I printed, filled and signed form. Then when I went and tried to create a new ticket with all the related attachments and info, it says "cannot submit ticket at the time". It then popped up 2 options - live chat or phone call. I click live chat - get message "The current representative is not available right now in your selected language at this time. This was English... at 9:30AM on a Thursday (today)...
I then selected the second option for a phone call. I called the number - get automated message telling me to submit a service ticket. No options to select or navigate. Then the call just ends after the automated message. Can't even reach a live person.
This has been happening since April 9. Today is April 30. Can't get any support from any of the IBKR's suggested avenue. Can't submit a ticket - some random error. Can't get a hold of a person in live chat, and phone call just tells me to submit a ticket. Here I am trying to give them more business by changing accounts and I can't even do a basic fund transfer after following all their instructions and wasting a ton of my time trying to get this to work. I remember back in the days IBKR had some of the best customer service especially with their live chat. Now you can't even find the button to get to live chat or transfer funds from another broker. What a joke this company has become.
