Am I being paid dividends?

Am I being paid dividends?

Hey everyone,

Apologies if this is a stupid question as still quite new at this. I have been holding VWRP and it has been doing really well for nearly a year now and have just checked and I have not been paid any dividends. Is this because it is an accumulation fund and they have just been reinvested or does this just not pay out dividends?

[Investing] Colombian living in UAE, planning to move to Spain in 1–2 years — is IBKR + VWRA still the right setup?

Hey everyone. Looking for input on my situation before I start investing.

My profile:

•	Colombian citizen, resident in UAE (\~2 years)

•	Income in AED (USD-pegged, no income tax in UAE)

•	Planning to relocate to Spain within 1–2 years

•	Monthly investment budget: \~$480 USD/month

•	Starting from zero — no brokerage account yet

What I’m planning:

Open an IBKR account now from UAE and start monthly DCA into VWRA (Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS, Ireland-domiciled, accumulating). The Ireland domicile seemed like the right call to avoid the 30% US withholding on dividends.

My concerns about the Spain move:

1.	Does opening IBKR in UAE and then changing residency to Spain create any complications with the account or tax reporting?

2.	Is VWRA still the optimal ETF once I’m a Spanish tax resident, or should I be looking at something else from day one?

3.	Spain’s Modelo 720 — does an IBKR account trigger this obligation? At $480/month I won’t hit €50K for a while, but worth knowing.

4.	Are there any exit tax implications when leaving UAE? (I assume none since UAE has no capital gains tax, but want to confirm)

5.	Any broker that would be more seamless for the UAE → Spain transition?

Not asking for professional financial advice — just community experience from people who’ve navigated similar expat setups.

Thanks

My passport was stolen while I am abroad, should I inform Interactive Brokers?

Unfortunately my passport was stolen together with my (paper) notebook while I am on holidays abroad. Of course I reported this to the local police and my embassy. Now I am not sure if (and how) I should inform Interactive Brokers about this theft because I am afraid the thieves could use my passport and information from my notebook for hacking my accounts via social engineering and identity theft. The local police thinks this is not necessary and my embassy confirmed that my stolen passport will be invalid yet I don’t know if banks and brokers can check if a passport is still valid. What would you do?

How to close all non-base currencies without multiple conversions?

Hi my account is USD denominated and i have bought some euro and swedish stocks, and now the balance on those currencies is in the red (i have margin but would like to change to cash). So now i have converted the currencies and clicked on "entire balance". From this my SEK position is now like 0.31 SEK but EUR is -2 EUR.

I have tried converting many times and it doesnt change. And now on the next day i see that i still got charged a 2 EUR commission every time although the cash balance is still negative? I also tried adding additional 2 Euros to convert so it would cover the negative balance but it moved it only to - 1.31 EUR.

What can i do to close them and then switch to cash account?

there is also an option "Close Balance" which does not work, and i assume is for something different? Appolagies if its a silly question, just do not want to keep making this mistake. Thank you!

Noobie here, Need to choose between IBKR and Schwab

Hi,

I've had a traditional US based brokerage account for several years, but have been traveling overseas for the past two years as I started my retirement. Given that I plan to be abroad for a few more years, I've been advised to move to IBKR or Schwab to prevent some serious limitations that may be on the horizon (even though I use a VPN). Given the nature of issues possible, I know this is sound advice. I'm trying to choose between IBKR and Schwab. I'm not an active trader, more of an investor with occasional trades. I don't really need to withdraw money overseas. I have done some basic research, but any additional info or blind spots not immediately apparent would be appreciated. Thanks !(P.S. Also, Reddit does not allow referral links any more, so if there is a permissible way to "introduce" me to IBKR that will survive the gatekeepers here, feel free:)

Exit Strategy Not Available

Hi good people of Reddit,

I come to you once again as I have encountered a bug in the IB app. I currently have some CMPX LEAPs that I am trying to sell. However, when I press “Exit Strategy,” I get the message “Exit Strategy not available.” I don’t have any other active orders related to CMPX, nor any overnight trading orders. I am at option level 2, so I doubt it has anything to do with insufficient trading permissions either, as I am simply trying to exit my position on the call options I own. I messaged customer service but have received no reply.

I started using IB not too long ago and this is my second major bug I’ve encountered. The first time was that I couldn’t trade any stocks below $5 for some reason, and customer service said it was a bug on their end.

I find it very frustrating that a trading platform as large as IB can have these issues. Can someone please help? Thank you.

Identity verification requirement

Is this something new? I was able to open Schwab, Vanguard and Fidelity accounts over the years with no problems, but trying with Interactive Brokers or Moomoo, they demand that I send them a copy of my ID or passport. I don't want copies of those floating around the web, considering how many data breaches there are.

Proof of address, does not contain address?! / Fed up with IBKR - alternatives?

I recently moved from a EU country to Thailand and changed my address. Then, they wanted to so proof of address, fair enough. But that's where the problems started.

I've uploaded my credit card statement, bank statement and a TM30 (where you or the landlord registers your stay with the Thai police). Initially, just the TM30 alone, then I sent them all 3 in one document so they can take their pick. They then stated:

>"The submitted Bank Statement cannot be accepted as it does not contain any address. "

Apparently they or I'm blind and cannot see the address clearly in the top corner on multiple documents.
I've done extensive KYR processes with my credit card and bank. No issues. Also, over the course of my life I've open at least a dozen brokerage accounts, but never had to put up with this much BS as with IBKR.

I'm at a point where this is become ridiculous, that I'm willing to close my account and move to another competitor.

Any recommendations / suggestions, similar to IBKR for customer in SEA?

IBKR just rolled out a unified prediction markets screen — Kalshi + CME + ForecastEx in one window. Anyone using it yet?

Logged into TWS this week and noticed IBKR quietly launched a unified prediction markets interface on May 14. You can trade Kalshi, CME Group event contracts, and ForecastEx from one screen with automatic best-price routing — no separate account at each venue.

Found a writeup that breaks down what's actually live, the routing logic, and what's still missing (Polymarket isn't on it, obviously, since they're not US-regulated): https://predictionmarkets.us/articles/interactive-brokers-unified-prediction-markets-2026

A few things I'm trying to figure out:

• Does the best-price router actually pick the better side, or does it default to whichever venue has the contract listed first? Anyone backtested?
• Fees — is IBKR layering a markup on top of Kalshi's exchange fee, or are they passing through?
• ForecastEx volume is thin. Curious if the unified screen is going to drive any liquidity there or if it'll just be a Kalshi pipe with extra steps.

Feels like a bigger deal than IBKR is making it sound. First real "Bloomberg terminal for prediction markets" moment imo.

Market Protect order on ES futures option filled at 4.50/5.00 while Time & Sales showed ~32/35 market — what actually happened here?

I’m looking for feedback from futures/options traders who understand CME Globex execution mechanics, ES futures options, Market Protect orders (perhaps Rule 588 if done in 8 minutes time frame required?). I am a very experienced trader, a licensed fiduciary wealth manager and financial planner in my day job (Series 7 and 66 licenses. )

Yesterday I opened and closed 7 ES futures call options (1 day DTE) within three minutes:

Product: ES FOP / E3B
Contract: May 19, 2026 7405 Call
Ticker: E3BK6 C7405
Exchange: CME
Platform/Broker: Interactive Brokers TWS

INTERNET: 1.5 Gig Cat 8 Ethernet

Here is the sequence:

I bought 7 CALL contracts at 15.90 STRIKE 7405 at approximately 15:01:20 ET, roughly 13 points OTM (Out-the-money).

I got very lucky (or did I? I saw unusual movement across my indicators, probably by the usual insider traders). About 45 seconds later Trump made a post about delaying his planned military strikes on IRAN. ES had moved sharply higher and the option premium was trading around the low/mid 30s. Bid/Ask is highly unstable/wide spreads when indices move that quickly. So I waited for it to stabalize at the usual spreads for about 20 seconds.  You can see from the attached Time & Sales screenshots that the bid/ask did stabalize like I say it did. I submitted a Market Protect sell order to close the position.

Instead, my closing fills were:

15:03:15 — Sell 1 at 5.00
15:03:15 — Sell 1 at 4.50
15:03:15 — Sell 5 at 4.50

Average sale price: 4.571429

Multiplier is 50x, so if the fair exit was around 34, the economic difference is roughly:

34.00 × 50 × 7 = $11,900 expected proceeds
4.571429 × 50 × 7 = ~$1,600 actual proceeds
Difference: about $10,300

What makes this especially confusing is the Time & Sales / NBO data I pulled afterward. Around the exact time of my fills, the displayed market appears to show roughly 32.00 / 35.00 or similar. My 4.50 and 5.00 fills print at 15:03:15, while nearby quote data still appears to show a bid/ask nowhere near 4.50.

Then shortly afterward, the quotes appear to flicker down to bizarre levels like 0.95 / 34.50, 1.00 / 34.25, etc.

I contacted IBKR immediately. The rep reviewed Time & Sales and said:

“the market right before your order went in was 0.95 bid at 34.75 then no bid at 34.75 then no bid at your 4.50 then 5 bid where you traded it”

That explanation doesn’t make sense to me because the screenshots seem to show the 4.50/5.00 prints occurring while the displayed market was still around 32/35, and the 0.95 bid quotes appear after or around the same second. Obviously milliseconds matter, but the visible sequence looks extremely questionable.

I filed a trade adjustment request with IBKR and separate complaints with CME and IBKR. I understand CME Rule 588 review windows are extremely short, and I was already outside the formal bust window – which is only 8 minutes and I did not know that you have to call CME within the eight minutes to have the trade bust considered (learned something new and valuable).

Anyone experienced enough rever experienced something similar, or have the expertise to give me their opinions? Please chime in.

My questions:

  1. Can a CME Globex Market Protect sell order fill at 4.50 if there was a displayed bid around 32.00 at the same timestamp?
  2. Is it possible the TWS quote display/Time & Sales is visually misleading because of quote sequencing within the same second?
  3. Could this be a stale quote / pulled bid / no real liquidity situation? I doubt it considering ES E Mini contracts are the most liquid futures options contracts that exist.
  4. Does this look like something that should have qualified for CME Rule 588 review?
  5. What specific audit data should I demand from IBKR to reconcile the fill?

Attached Proof:

-            Screenshots of the Time & Sales/NBO around and at the execution.

-            My trade confirmations

-            The trade displayed in my entire day’s audit trail (redacted)

-            The trade confirmation email

I’d appreciate serious feedback from anyone who trades ES options or understands Globex order matching. I’m angry, obviously, but I’m mostly trying to figure out whether this was a legitimate thin-market disaster or an execution/data problem that should be challenged.

Can I load IBKR India account with INR, convert to USD, and wire the amount?

I have a IBKR Canada account. My parents want to send me some money (with the LRS/TCS limit of 10 lacs).

Can my parents open an IBKR India account, load INR from their bank account (online), and then convert the INR to USD/CAD via IBKR forex conversion feature? After converting, can they wire this to my IBKR Canada account?

The idea is to get a low markup by using brokerage account rather than normal banks. IBKR Canada has free incoming wire. Idk about IBKR India, but usually with IBKR, you get 1 free outgoing wire per month??

Is the loading of IBKR India account with INR and conversion possible? I see folks are converting to USD at the load phase. Why not keep base currency as INR?

Please explain how buying on different exchanges works

I came across this archived thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/interactivebrokers/comments/1fujaj4/routing_of_trades_in_ishares_nasdaq_100_etf/

Which is exactly what I'm trying to do. What I don't understand is, how come the CNDX ETF on the LSE isn't directly available like many other UCITS ETFs I've bought before on IBKR?

How come I now need to explicitly choose a different exchange, and use the desktop app?

Would appreciate the advice/guidance of more experienced traders.

ibkr mobile keeps resetting when in the background - memory pressure related?

most annoying bug. Say I transfer assets, need the email code, switch to email, come back = ibkr resets and loses the code page.

I'm on an iphone 13 pro max, would it disappear with a 16 pro due to the 8gb ram?

I know this is quite a niche issue, but I'm not sure how to fix this. The font looks very bad, both in TWS and in the launcher, it's straining my eyes. I also noticed the loading bars has missing text. So this does seem like a font issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you get the 'Bank Deposit Sweep Programme' email?

Do you guys have any thoughts on the new IKBR bank deposit sweep programme I got emailed about today? (See below)I was wondering why this is an 'opt in' as opposed to automatically giving clients better cash protection. Made me wonder if there is anything detrimental about signing up?

The Insured Bank Deposit Sweep Program provides up to $5.0 million of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) coverage on free cash balances in your individual account and $10.0 million of FDIC coverage on free cash balances in your joint account.

Combined with existing Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) coverage of the first $250,000 in your account, your available insurance for your brokerage and sweep accounts is up to $5.25 million for an individual account and $10.25 million for a joint account. Cash balances above the coverage limit remain subject to safeguarding under the SEC's Customer Protection Rule 15c3-3, backed by the firm’s equity capital, which is rapidly approaching $20 billion.
