I bought a ticket to Werchter Parklife (Belgium) specifically to see one band. I literally planned an entire Europe trip around this show, flights, accommodation, the whole itinerary built around that date.
The festival just announced that band has been replaced with a different one: https://www.werchterparklife.be/en/nieuws/landmvrks-at-werchter-parklife
I've already opened a support ticket with Ticketmaster requesting a refund, but I know these usually take a while and I'd rather go in informed.
A few questions for anyone who's been through this:
- What are realistic odds Ticketmaster refunds for a line-up change like this? It wasn't a minor opener, it was one of the headliners, and clearly the reason people like me bought tickets.
- If they refuse initially, what's the best way to escalate? Has anyone had luck citing EU consumer rules (the festival is in Belgium)?
Any advice appreciated, trying to figure out if I should keep hoping for a refund or just accept it.
