I bought tickets directly from Ticketmaster and they allowed an illegal transfer of tickets and realized when I go to the venue because my tickets were in my account prior to the day! I didn’t sell them and I didn’t transfer them.

The box office at the venue told me they were transferred twice after I purchased them.

Ticketmaster left me hanging at the venue with NO UPDATE.

I already called my credit card company but seriously how did this happen?!

How are tickets available on stubhub for resale if we all have the “your tickets are confirmed” message and can’t actually access our tickets for resale or transfer???

okay so i booked my ticket in a fanpit zone and my friend who is also coming to the concert has booked tickets but in the gold zone, can i sneak her with me or get a free upgrade in the fanpit zone or will they allow me in the gold zone with her either option is okay. both of us booked tickets long ago in cheaper price and now the prices have skyrocketed

I am going to begin by saying that this was a huge learning experience for me and I take accountability for my ignorance. Today I discovered what a terrible, and morally corrupt corporation TM truly is. While it's all legal, it's completely ethically vacant.

I had two Olivia Rodrigo tickets for the Boston show 10/17 in Boston this next weekend. I was lucky enough to purchase great seats for face value. Unfortunately we had a pet emergency and my daughter asked me to sell the tickets so that her cat could receive life-saving surgery. When I researched resale costs, I was shocked at how much our seats were listed for. I looked at both SeatGeek, and Stubhub. I was not comfortable selling on either of those sites due to feeling like they were not secure. In addition to the sense of insecurity, I am NOT in the scalping market and in no way would I be comfortable reselling them at the suggested price.

With both of those scenarios, I looked at the resale option directly through TM. I believed that this would be the most secure way to resell the tickets, both for the buyer and seller. When I went to list them, I got the "Good news, you have an offer". You also do NOT get to set the price. TM decides that for you.Which right then and there should have been a huge red flag because when you search, there is no way to actually purchase through TM. BUT the price was way less that I saw listed on third party resale site. I slept on it, and reluctantly I decided it would make sense to list them. By the end of the day, the cost of parking, food, and merch, it would easily be a $300+ day for us. I accepted the offer and they were sold immediately. About 1 hour later my tickets were listed on Seat Geek for TWICE as much as I sold them for. Now I'm not mad that I missed out on listing them for myself, I'm angry that I was trying to avoid this entire scenario. I just picture some kid who loves Olivia can't see her because of these outrageous prices. It's absolutely disgusting to me.

In addition to that, TM gets to charge what every they want for *multiple* service fees, and those fees are STEEP.

Is Ticketmaster the scalpers themselves? Who actually "makes an offer" because they were never listed on TM, and they immediately went to a third party.

Now I wish I never sold them. I'll never ever do that again. At least my cat gets to have his surgery.

TLDR: Ticketmaster is a filthy, and corrupt company.

ETA:. I profited nearly $1k on these tickets. This isn't about me losing money, quite the opposite.

Ye is playing in Arlington and he’s my favorite artist of all time. That’s super close to me and I want tickets but I’m afraid if I wait too long then I’ll miss it and not be able to get tickets. I hear that as the day approaches they only get cheaper. I need advice

Has Ticketmaster resolved the "Unable to Transfer Tickets at This Time..." issue yet? Or should I be requesting a refund from SeatGeek and buying tickets at the venue if they haven't sold out yet?

This is exactly the scalping bullshit fans have been dealing with for years and at some point someone needs to actually step in and do something about it. Scalpers scoop up huge quantities of the best tickets the second they go on sale and immediately turn around and relist them at absolutely fucking insane prices. Look at this. Multiple listings with up to 8, 20, and other quantities of PIT tickets, all being offered for $1,847 EACH. Meanwhile actual Slipknot fans who wanted to buy these tickets at the original price are shut out and told they can have one if they’re willing to hand a reseller almost two grand. This keeps happening with major concerts and everyone just acts like this is a normal part of buying tickets now. IT SHOULDN’T BE. There need to be meaningful limits and consequences for people buying tickets specifically to flip them for massive profits because whatever is being done right now clearly isn’t fucking working. Fans shouldn’t have to compete with professional scalpers and resale operations every single time a major tour goes on sale. Concert tickets are supposed to get people into concerts, not function as fucking investment commodities for people who never intended to attend in the first place. This shit has gotten completely out of control and someone with the authority to regulate this industry needs to step the fuck in.

need urgent help! i just got a ticket for a show tonight and when i go to transfer it i get a pop up that says “Unfortunately, Transfer is not available at the moment. Please try again later.”
the first time i did it, it looked like it went through but im still not seeing it in my app!

I missed my show yesterday because of Ticketmaster’s transfer issue. I received my tickets at 10:14pm for a 7:00pm show. I drove 2 hours, was on hold for 3 hours and the show was sold out at the box office. Now their support is trying to say I received my ticket.

Here’s what support said:

However, because the event has already passed and the tickets were showing as available in the account, we’re unable to provide compensation for this order.
 
Regarding your request for escalation, I understand why you would like this reviewed further. However, based on the information available and the status of the tickets, this decision would remain the same even if reviewed by another team member or supervisor.

They are straight up lying to our faces.

Got tickets for a show tonight from SeatGeek yesterday. SeatGeek only sent my ticket this morning, trying to transfer before I do a 2 hour drive. Should I be okay for my show at 5:30pm? It's 11:30am currently.

So a couple of days ago I bought Celine Dion tickets in France for this Wednesday on StubHub.

To claim the tickets, I had to download the ticket master fan wallet app. I was not asked to sign in, it just automatically transferred the tickets to the app and I didn’t have an option to download the tickets anywhere else on my phone. I couldn’t even find these tickets on my Ticketmaster account.

Today when I checked the fan wallet app, the tickets had just disappeared randomly. I deleted then redownloaded the app, still gone. When I tried reclaiming the tickets through the StubHub link, it says that the link was no longer valid. I called StubHub explaining this situation and they said they are going to ask the seller to send another link.

Anybody know how they disappeared? Is this new link gonna work since I already accepted them originally? What steps should I follow now?

Really worried about this as these tickets were really expensive and they are supposed to be a surprise present for my mom. Any help at all would be appreciated
