Damaged skin barrier: how do you know it’s better?

Hi, everyone. Almost 2 weeks ago I (a dumb bum, 37) damaged my skin barrier by using (not so soft) cotton pads on my face for micelar water AND toner and dragging them over my face because I enjoyed the feeling of peeling off my own skin these new cotton pads were giving me, until I literally did peel my skin off I guess (I won’t do it again.)

Anyway, I caught it pretty quick I think and have been treating my skin nicely, but I’m wondering how do I know it’s healed and can slowly start going back to my routine again? Any stories and advice from people it has happened to?

just in case what I’m doing right now, both am and pm:

wash: Easydew 3x barrier repair cleanser

moisturizer: Torriden dive-in soothing cream

lock in with ihada medicated skin balm
