The Flaws that I believe the Movement Currently Has
The movement has gained a lot of traction in the recent months which I believe is a positive. However, I don't believe the movement will amount to much unless a lot of the Flaws are addressed.
After looking at a similar successful social media strategy followed by Zohran Mamdani before the NY Mayoral elections, the difference is painfully clear.
The current movement is purely reactionary. It's not built on any specific ideology that all its members can get behind. We're clearly all frustrated at the system but we can't point to specific issues and aren't able bring up suitable solution. Even the current education fiasco wouldnt have been brought up if not for recent failures. We all want the education minister to resign (which is fair), but we can't point to a suitable replacement or even address the underlying issues.
The primary social media accounts have no focus. It only exists to as an evidence of the movement existing. A lot of the influencer posts that are reposted on the page just seem like posts made for clout. Without a competent social media manager curating the posts, I don't think any clear message will go through to the public
None of the movement's biggest representatives are directly involved with the government. We can run protests all we want but we've seen how far even the successful ones end up going. They gain traction for a few weeks, there's some visible change in the short term, then it all goes right back because nobody in the government is genuinely committed towards solving the issue.
The movement is advertised as something that's supposed to span across the nation, but till now everything in has been focused on the Hindi belt. Around half ofbthe country has been completely left out
I still believe that these issues can be addressed if there is clear intent since I still believe that the movement is in its early stages. But if it's ignored, I think it'll all just fall flat in the long term
