I was written up because a customer said I swore at them
I was waiting on a customer last night who was doing instacart she seemed really annoyed and bothered. I finished the transaction, handed her the receipt and told her to have a good night. She then said wait a minute you’re not done I have a second order.
I apologized and said well I didn’t know that. You didn’t tell me.
I then received a write up today at work and according to the customer I said “well you didn’t f***ing tell me you had two orders”. My store manager then said if it happened again I’ll be fired depending on the severity of the situation.
I refused to sign it and put in the teammate comments that, I’ve been there for 3 years now and I know better than to swear at customers and I was maintaining my innocence.
There are cameras above every single register that record audio and video. Should i escalate this to HR being that I was provided with no evidence that I actually cursed at said customer. Or is it not worth it?
