Was re-painting my front porch yesterday and fumbled the brush while cutting in and put a big mark on the vinyl siding. I cleaned it up as best I could while it was wet but it's still a mess. Dried insanely fast too, it was hot out there yesterday.
Paint was Valspar Duramax exterior. Are there any options to at least remove / fade a majority of it? Doesn't have to look perfect, but getting most of it off would make it less noticeable. White siding, textured, hit with barn red paint.
I just posted a picture of an order from Beyond Polish where one bottle arrived broken and they offered to replace it, but only as a "one-time courtesy" because apparently I didn't buy some optional shipping insurance at checkout? I don't even remember seeing it at checkout.
Not going to lie but that hot take tells me that this may be my one and only time buying from them. I appreciate that they're giving me this "courtesy" but not sure I like the idea of having to pay for extra insurance on every order just in case.
I've had broken bottles come from other suppliers and without missing a beat they immediately sent a replacement, no insurance purchase required.
Am I overreacting here or is that just not the vibe?
Edit to add: I didn't include pictures of the box and I don't think I can add pictures to this post but I can tell you there was essentially zero damage to the box. Maybe a tiny ding on one corner. But basically it looked like it had just been handed to me across the counter. This really had to be their packaging job. I included pictures of the box from all sides in my email to them which is why I got so irritated with them calling it a "one time courtesy."
Edit two: I just remembered, my original post with the broken bottle had one pic of the box and you can see it has zero damage: Well this just put me in a bad mood 😭
Waited a couple weeks for this order and one of the four polishes was broken. I'm sure the company will help me out here, I just reached out to them. It's just like, dang it! 😅
Looks like the other three survived with only a little bit of transfer.
Edit to add: well they said they'd replace it, but their customer service leaves much to be desired. I won't be buying from them again, and you can see why here: What's the tea with Beyond Polish? Am I overreacting?
