Is this a reasonable approach to improve?

Hi,
I just started 3 days ago, been at it a lot, but really only practiced these 3 letters to be able to write them by heart.
I stole that throwie-ish style by mixing the "K" and "T" examples (see second picture) I found online.

My strategy is basically to keep sketching this exact style (quasi-blindly, only looking at different non-throwie graffs with my letters in them). Each sketch I try to change something small that I think will get me closer to a piece style. For example, I change roundings, add gaps or "holes" inside the letters themselves etc. Also trying to follow what I found in the sub's "basics guide".

Does that help at all to work towards becoming a fully fledged writer? Or will I need to start over and try straight-letter graff until I get the basics like proper letter structure down? Cause I think I would find that much less enjoyable xxx

Thanks for reading!

TLDR: Toy wants to evolve throwies into pieces, ANY feedback welcome (on that idea or the sketch itself).
