WIBTA if I told my dad his new wife threw away my late mom’s belongings?
I have been struggling with something that happened recently and I don’t really know if I would be the bad person if I bring it up. My dad got remarried about a year ago, and while I’ve been trying my best to adjust, his new wife and I don’t really have a close relationship. A few days ago, I went home and found out that some of my late mom’s belongings, including a box of her clothes and a few personal keepsakes, were gone.
When I asked about it, my dad’s wife casually said she “cleared out old clutter” because it was taking up space, which honestly shocked me. Those items were all I had left of my mom, and she never even asked me before throwing them away. I haven’t told my dad yet because I don’t want to cause tension in their marriage, but I also feel really hurt and disrespected. WIBTA if I tell my dad what happened, even if it might start a big argument at home?
