Support your fellow collectors!

Hey collectors

We’ve got an awesome community here, but we’d love to see a little more engagement from everyone. If you see a post you like, throw it an upvote. If you’ve got something cool in your collection, make a post and share it. It really doesn’t take much, and every bit of activity helps keep the community alive and growing.

The more active we are, the better this place becomes for everyone.

We also want to start doing some contests and community events, but we want your input first:

  • What kinds of contests would you actually want to participate in?
  • Collection showcases?
  • Best pickup of the month?
  • Rarest item?
  • Mystery box challenges?
  • Trading competitions?
  • Custom display setups?

And most importantly:
What kind of prizes would actually motivate you to join in and engage?

Gift cards? Exclusive collectibles? Community flair/titles? Sealed products? Mystery packs? Something else?

Drop your ideas below. We want to build events that the community is genuinely excited about.

Let’s show this community some love and make it something special. 🔥

Steam Machine 2026: Why Gamers Are Suddenly Interested Again

Being able to play my Steam library in the living room, while also having the freedom to run emulation, is exactly why I’ll be picking one up. The only real question now is just how hard my wallet is about to get hit.

Epic Collector Site Update!

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on some of the recent changes and improvements happening across Epic Collector.

Epic Estimator Updates
The Epic Estimator has been updated to provide better and more accurate results. That said, the results are only ever going to be as good as the data being fed into it. I’ve spent more time testing and adjusting the system, especially when it comes to comics and trading cards, and the estimates are already performing much better than before.

If you come across anything that seems wildly out of range, please let me know. Feedback from users helps me continue refining and improving the estimator over time.

Ads & Monetization
I’m still experimenting with ads across the platform. If you’ve visited the site recently, you may have noticed the new offerwall system that allows users to engage with the site after viewing an ad.

I know this isn’t the ideal user experience. Trust me, I’d rather not rely on it either. But until the site reaches a point where enough users upgrade to Pro, I need to explore ways to help monetize and sustain the platform in its current state.

Bug Fixes & Improvements
The site has also gone through a minor overhaul focused on fixing smaller bugs, oversights, and improving overall usability.

One change worth mentioning is that news posts containing affiliate links are now clearly marked as such. Links that are not affiliated remain unmarked for transparency.

Community Support
If you take the time to read any of the news posts shared on the site and this sub, please consider sharing them across social media or Reddit. I can’t really promote my own content in many communities without it being flagged as self-promotion, but when users share posts organically, readership absolutely skyrockets.

And honestly, if you’re posting it on Reddit, you might as well collect the upvotes too.

Support Epic Collector Directly
Of course, if you want to support the site more directly, consider upgrading to Pro.

Pro members get:
• Unlimited Epic Estimator usage
• Expanded collection features
• Additional tools and functionality
• An ad-free experience while signed in

More importantly, Pro memberships directly help keep the platform growing and improving.

You’ll also have direct access to me for feature requests, feedback, or issues you’d like addressed.

Thanks again to everyone using the site, sharing feedback, and supporting the project. Every bit genuinely helps.

Our image CDN is currently experiencing a minor outage across North America. Some users may still see images loading normally, while others may encounter issues. We expect this to be resolved by the end of the day.

If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing to Pro. Your support helps us continue building new features and improvements. - The Collector

I’ll keep this simple and honest.

Epic Collector (website) has grown to 130 members in 6 months, which is something I’m genuinely proud of. But here’s the reality: only 1 person is currently on Pro.

This platform takes real time and effort to build, maintain, and improve. New features, bug fixes, data updates, performance… it doesn’t just happen in the background. If you’ve found value in the site, this is the moment where I’m asking for your support to help keep it alive and moving forward.

So here’s what I’m offering:

Pro Membership is now $3.99/month for 12 months.

If you’re actively collecting, tracking, or even just browsing your collection regularly, Pro unlocks the full experience:

• Unlimited collections
• Unlimited items per collection
• Advanced analytics & detailed statistics
• ROI tracking and investment insights
• Price history graphs and market trends
• Wishlist price drop notifications
• Collection sharing tools
• Export options (CSV & PDF)
• No ads, anywhere
• Priority support
• 1000 data fetches per month

This isn’t just about removing limits. It’s about giving you real tools to understand and grow your collection like an actual asset.

But I’m not going to pretend this is just a feature pitch.

If even a small percentage of active users upgrade, it directly impacts how much I can continue to build. More features. Better data. Faster updates. A stronger platform overall.

If not, it becomes harder to justify the time investment needed to keep pushing this forward at the level I want to.

So if you’ve been using Epic Collector and thinking about going Pro, this is the time.

If you’ve never tried Pro, this is the lowest barrier it’s ever going to be.

And if you simply want to support a platform that’s being built for collectors by someone who actually cares about the hobby, this is how you do it.

Appreciate everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. Let’s see if we can take this to the next level.

I'd like to grab them all buy realistically, I'll probably grab 2 or 3. Anyone else feeling this line?
