Canon EOS 300, this thing has gone everywhere

[19/30]

My dad bought this camera while on tour in Australia in 1999 after his A35 F broke.

I wish I could tell you the places this thing has been, he took it to atleast 32 countries.

The mirror was stuck in the closed position, so no viewfinder shot, and I couldn't show you the inside because I still have 10 shots in there from my last trip.

Canon Powershot SX20 IS

[17/30]

I will admit, this camera is only just Barely retro, [2008] but its still older than me.

I could not get it to power on despite having both batteries, and a 6V power supply.

The mirror for the view finder [if it has one] is stuck in the closed position, so no shot through the viewfinder.

Strangest one in my collection, I think it came with a remote control at one point.

Could not focus the viewfinder.

Sorry for the sloppy quality and angles, I am very tired.

This camera was used by my dad for a little while, and it's defining feature was it's automatic focus.

In fact, it ONLY had automatic focus, no manual adjusting, meaning if it broke, the camera was unusable.

Can you take a guess what feature broke?

It's other feature was it's built in remote, that could zoom, and take pictures, it SOMEHOW still has a charge after over 20 years, most of my electric cameras won't even turn on, Including this one.

I only know it works because the little IR light, sets off the automatic shade on my welding helmet.

If this camera was a person, it would be the guy from the gooneys
