Am I wrong for thinking that having an Advertisement-free subscription should mean that you shouldn't be served ads? Disney seems to think so!
I signed up a while back on an Advertisement Free Hulu/Disney+/HBO combo, and honestly Disney+ is my least used of the three. I don't recall this ever happening on the other two apps, but Disney+ seems to think it's okay to serve me Disney+ related advertisements before I can stream some of their content? Sure, I can immediately skip it, but after enough times it becomes an annoyance that I would rather do without and that I feel justified feeling like I should have to if I have an advertisement free subscription.
What's also annoying is that they seem to be Disney+ advertisements, which is both redundant and a waste of time when I am actively using the service being advertised.
IDK if I'm being a male "Karen" or what but this just feels like a gross practice on the behalf of Disney, and borders on false advertising to call a subscription "advertisement free" if you are still going to serve skippable ads.
I managed to take screenshots to log a conversation I had with Disney+ support. Thankfully I thought to screenshot them because this was the third agent I was connected with, the first having disconnected immediately after reading what my issue was, and the second presumably deciding they didn't want to spend the time having a moral debate over whether or not it's right to serve advertisements to advertisement-free subscribers.
Please don't send your hitman, Micky... I just want what I am paying you for!
BTW I tried posting this on the Disney+ subreddit hoping it would get the attention of someone who could make some changes, but it was immediately delete by what I assume was a bot moderator.
