Is it worth waiting for the new LG models?
So I’m planning to finally upgrade to an ultrawide after using flat for decades so I’m pretty new in this category, right now I have a 32’ Asus OLED display. My primary choices are either the 39GX950B or the 45 inch version, I’m still considering which one fits me best, I’ve done a few research and saw that these monitors were announced at CES 2026 so I’m thinking CES 2027 is around the corner I can wait just a few months so I can get the newer best model since I’m planning to keep these monitor for long term, upon doing some more research realized these years versions were not delivered until may so I started being doubtful, I think maybe is not worth the wait, wanted to ask if on today’s info next years release is getting some considering upgrade worth the wait or is it better to just buy this year version for a fair price.
I primarily use my monitor for gaming and the rest for productivity would say 80/20, I was thinking if I wait for the new models I maybe can get it before march but realized that will not be the case, now I don’t know if would be better to wait or just buy the 2026 version now, because if that’s the case I would like to make the purchase before GTA VI comes out to try that on my new monitor.
I have a 4090 with a 9800X3D, I would really appreciate some help or some advice, thank you.
