I found a way to extract only the crema, but what do with the black sludge part?
I used to use my tongue to just lap up the crema, but I grew tired of getting called the “crema cat” at my local cafe. It was quite hurtful. Now, I finally found a way to extract only the crema to avoid drinking that dark, oil-looking liquid underneath it. Hope this helps others.
I’ve found that if I brew 37 shots I get enough crema to fill an espresso glass. Would like to avoid throwing away all the “Texas Tea” that lurks beneath, so looking for some suggestions on how to dispose of in a more environmentally friendly way. Should I just mix with my car oil before taking it in for recycling?
