On plane damaged plane parts effects on harb/toxot
So I ran some testing, damaging plane parts and then attempting a take off to see how manoeuvrability is affected:
With two wings damaged:
The harbinger is barely able to stay in the air and require constant adjustments to do so
The toxot seem better that way than with 1 wing damaged because there's no more tilting to one side in the air and can manoeuvre just fine
With two wings and the tail damaged:
The Harbinger is no longer able to take off
The Toxot can take off and manoeuvre just fine
With all mechanical parts damaged:
The Toxot is still able to take off without any real challenge
With damaged engine:
Harbinger is unable to take off
Toxot is unable to take off
Only tail damaged:
The toxot can take off, though it's vertical control becomes quite janky, with seemingly random stalling moves. It is strangely worse than with all parts damaged
The harbinger can take off, though it tends to sway a lot from left to right and experiences the same stalling moves as the toxot
Both have a hard time pitching down in this condition
This difference in effects seems unintended to me, because it does not follow the "crippling aircrafts to induce a crashlanding" aspect the devs said to intend.
Update: White Raven tests result:
With two wings damaged:
The White Raven can take off, but it necessitate the pilot to turn the plane left or right during the take off. In this state it seems to lose altitude very easily and necessitate the pilot to pitch up frequently.
With two wings and the tail damaged:
The White Raven cannot take off anymore, even with the turning take off trick.
With engine damaged:
Surprisingly, the raven is still able to take off, probably because of its very low take off speed. It though operates at very reduced power, cannot climb quickly and drains energy fast when turning
With tail damaged:
Similar to the Toxot, the plane can take off but will be subject to random instances of pulling up, and pitching down becomes very difficult
