At this point, I’m starting to wonder about the twin flame journey. Are there any success stories of twin flames actually coming together? It seems like most people remain in separation from their person.

I understand that free will plays a role, but I sometimes feel there has to be more to it. I am also aware this journey is mainly about self growth, but then why is this person and all the nonsense that comes with them part of my life?
If this isn’t meant to be my life partner, what makes them so special? lol Many twin flame sources portray these connections as deeply romantic and hear some aren’t meant to be together.

Life’s trials and tribulations already force us to heal, grow, and evolve. If the purpose of this connection is spiritual growth and ascension, why would God pair us with someone who is fearful of everything and unwilling to do the work necessary?

I’ve also read many stories where people say the longing for their twin never ends. People often say they eventually move on, marry someone else, and build a happy life with a new partner. But how is that fair to the partner if they still deeply miss and in love their twin? How can someone be fully present and invested in their spouse or partner while carrying that kind of longing for another person?

I’ve been detached from my twin flame for a little over a year now. I still miss him at times, but I don’t miss the unhealthy dynamics we had. If he genuinely changed and worked on himself for himself, not just to get me back, I would reconsider reconciliation. But at the same time, I am completely at peace with us going our separate ways and never speaking again.

What I will not accept is pretending nothing happened. He wants to be friends and act as if the pain, disrespect, and lack of accountability never existed, and I’m not allowing that. To me, that manipulative…like another way to keep access to me without truly addressing the damage that was done. (something he’s a master at doing)

My question is: what happens to the twin flame connection when one person fully detaches? Some sources say the connection always remains, while others say it can break and the person who has grown moves on to a soulmate connection instead. Or the person who fulfilled their side of the journey is meant to continue forward focusing on healing, growth, and self-love? Theres no second divine connection? What is the truth?
