Time: Evening but also seen midday
Location: Backyard Garden, Las Vegas, NV
Plant: Pumpkins/ Cucurbitaceae
Size: Smaller than a grain of rice.
Behavior: tend to not fly away when disturbed, and walk quickly in the fashion of squash bug. However, they stay still near the plant nodes and where the petiole connect to the main part of the leaf, when not disturbed. The ants in my garden ignore them.

Its very difficult to get good pictures of them as they’re tiny, quick, and I no longer have my good field magnifier.

The other day, I was inspecting my plants and noticed these little things. At first I thought they were Fungus Gnats, but today I think they’re some kind of pest and was hoping to get ID so I can research them on my own.

Incase it helps they seem to prefer to walk. they walk in fashion similar to sqaush bugs, and when the ants in my garden interact with them they tend to get ignored quickly.

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada to give you a region if it helps.

Lastly I want to apologize for the side profile photo the little buggers are difficult to photograph since they dont like being looked at.
