Prediction…

as a complement to my Theory…. post.

I predict TES6: Westfall

The continent‘s western provinces are ablaze with conflict: x years after Skyrim’s and Cyrodil’s pacification by the Aldmeri Dominion: two provinces are harassed by the Dominion: A new era dawns through conflict; the surviving heir to High Rock is imprisoned is Hammerfell to be ferried to the Isles but fate is reversed when a group of rebels headed by an old redguard woman, Iman of House Suda, intercepts the convoy and liberates the hero and future monarch that can deliver the West from its doom.

Birch bark and ferns were overshadowing the map of northwestern Tamriel.

for Saadia it could work b/c either resolutions of the « In my time of need » quest could work in the lore…

comments?

(Note: Bethesda, if i got it right; please invite me to the launch XD )

I‘ve reinstalled Starfield on my Xbox Series S after playing a bit of Skyrim.

The Creation Engine 2 runs a heck lot more smoother than 1; Skyrim is frequently stutering (albeit barely noticeable) but none of that in Starfield.

Now I‘m not versed in the finer points of game design but if TES6 can have the fluidity and flexibility precision in hit boxes, FOV, 3d clipping… its going to be sweet.

So being on the subject: my Wants and Please Dont‘s

Wants:

-Meaningful crafting with greater depth in stuff you can do but there needs to be some pain to get the gains - quick maxing out is dull - Would like to see something akin to Borderlands-style randomness (in that game… the drops, but the same mechanic could be weaved into crafting…

-Lockpicking: make it a challenge, an intelligent one - not a gimmick

- Dark backstory and morally diverse npcs with irreversible opinions on your character, on that note, factions / trade / guild lockouts is nice, makes for better replay value.

- complex magic - no more cookie-cutter, bland spells - some spells should requires reagents or items.

- some amount of randomness in dungeons.

-Evolution!

Please dont‘s:

-Re-skined Skyrim

-Re-skinned F.O. 4 with swords

-Copy-cat other games or mechanics (i.e. building is nice but please be original)

-put everything one one aspect of the game - better diversity than one-sided.

I was reflecting on the « transcribe the past and map the future image »… I haven’t dug deep in previous post to see if my pondering were raised by someone else but here goes.

About the three lights on the image.

A. The central light is just east of Solitude at the location of the shipwrecked Katariah into which you can find the B. book (right light) « King » that tells the tale of the journey of the said king from Beggar, Thief, Warrior… then King.

C. Points to an uncharted (yet in the TES franchise) but looking at the ESO map, it‘s kinda set in the general area of the Spellscar.

now,

If we consider that in TES 3 the Neravarine is a prisoner who’s fate is foretold by Azura and pushed by Uriel Septim VII to punish the Tribunal… the prisoner born to uncertain parents is the reincarnation of Indoril Nerevar - throughout the franchise, the player character is (always?) a « out-of-the-blue » or unlikely…hero that steps up to meet its fate. Could the Nerevarine be the « Beggar » that, by removing ALMSIVI‘s godhoods, later was rumored to have passed across the sea to Akavir…

in TES4, the hero of Kvatch starts off as a prisoner; imprisoned for undisclosed reason… The « Thief » ? Being a relative of a vampire and the Arch-mage Taris Rendil. The Hero is then coaxed by Sheogorath to be his champion in defeating his alter-ego Jyggalag and ascending to godhood. Martin sacrifices himself to be a conduit to Akatosh who then defeats Molg Bal.

in TES5, the Dragonborn is caught by Imperials crossing illegally in Skyrim. The Last dragonborn then survives the attack by Alduin and meets his/her destiny as the Champion of the Greybeards and later Haermaeus Mora. The Greybeards at one point refer to the Dragonborn as Ysmir, being the Nordic avatar of Talos… the « Warrior » who ascended to godhood.

now, in TES6, can we imagine a narrative where the player character rises from obscurity to fulfill a yet-to-be announced prophesy reinstating a new regal dynasty… a new « King »?

Now if that is the case; the themes of renewal, of apotheoses gained and lost, of the push and pull of Aedra and Daedra. If a new dynasty is to be set on Nirn after being lost to the time after the disapearance of Alduin (who I have a feeling that he was Ithelias’ champion; my bet is she will be the next Daedra protagonist - forgotten by the works of a cabal of jealous Daedra for being too powerful: prince of fate, untraveled roads … imprisoned in a Black Book. One of the ultimate fates of the Dragonborn was that he/she was imprisoned in Apocrypha: not being able to complete the task of reinstating a new dynasty that would safekeeping Nirn from the domains of Daedra; would then a confrontation between Ithelia and Arkay (or Tu’wacca… of Yokuda lore…. in Hammerfell, home of its descendants and seat of his throne…) be the narrative saga of TES6? Тhat would tie in neatly with the cycles of apothéoses and most preeminently, the coming of a new cycle of stability that was yet to be resolved after the Oblivion crisis. Would the Yakutan be the next ruling culture on Tamriel after Mer and Altmeris? Would that solve the vacuum of the chaos of the interregnum after Ocato’s murder by settling a new dynasty?

what do ya’ll think about that?
