Can you hypnotize a cat to stop peeing? (have gone to vet already)
Like title says. My cat will without a doubt pee on any pile of clothes, unattended box or cloth based thing (stuffed animals not excluded. I need to be strategic about where everything goes to prevent this from happening. I mean he’ll even pee in suitcases and pull carts since it’s basically a box. Ive coped by being proactive in where I leave things so it doesn’t happen again, but I forget sometimes.
I actively clean the litter box every day and rotate the litter pretty consistently. It’s never completely dirty or empty. It makes no sense to me why he pees on these very specific things so quickly.
I took him to the vet to see if he had some sort of urinary infection or related ailment. Figured I’d look into it, but surprisingly came back as an exceptional cat with 0 problems. Healthy as all hell this guy, bro is just pissing on my things for the love of the game. I couldn’t believe it. And I can’t quite describe it and I may sound crazy, but my cat is very intelligent. Kind of human in ways he communicates and carries himself. Very articulated cat and I can’t help but think it’s out of spite or strange power move. Like asserting dominance maybe?
My question is this- Is there some form of psychological trials I can do on my cat to dissuade him from peeing on things? Maybe there’s a mind trick or training I can try? He’s a sweet boy, but the constant fear of leaving the wrong unattended for 5 minutes guarantees it being peed on. Looking for any insight.
