i tried to wet sand and polish using 3000 grit sandpaper, meguiars compound and tamiya compound finish and it ate right through my top coat and into the paint. i put like 4 heavy coats of vallejo gloss top coat and let it cure for over a week too. in the end, it didnt even get rid of the orange peel and now my paint is ruined throughout my kit. how can i prevent this from happening next time?
Just started my 3rd kit and wanted to share my progress. It is the Aoshima Nissan Silvia S15 Rodextyle and is my first Aoshima kit! So far the build process has been great besides a few fitment issues and warped parts.
Some modifications I have done so far is custom seatbelts built from scratch, wheel spacers and camber and a little Diet Coke can in the cup holder for fun lol.

I need help choosing between these 2 rims in 3 different shades, a total of 6 options for my Tamiya Honda NSX.
The rims are from the Tamiya S2000 kit and I can't decide which suits my model the best and in which color. Let me know what you think.

Finally got this kit painted in a pristine metallic blue. Not too sure about the rims or seats, I’m open to any color suggestions. I’m thinking maybe black seats and silver rims or black rims but let me know what you think.
Next is the windows and headlights/taillights, as well as the other accessories and finally decals. Also, thoughts on a custom NSX-R wing? Anyways, we’re in the home stretch😅
Just wanted to share my progress on my NSX. So far I have painted a gloss black base coat although it does have a speckled look, not sure why. I plan to make paint it either the shade in the 2nd or 3rd image, haven’t decided yet. Excited to see the final product!
