How do I fix this?

How do I fix this?

New to the model making hobby (started in January) and this is my first car (made 3 planes before this) that I’m making for my son. I don’t have much experience with bigger decals so that may be part of what went wrong here. But how do I get these folds out? I tried rolling over them with a cotton swab when I first applied it but they would just keep popping back up after I rolled over them. The fecal also ripped a little where I kept rolling it in the middle near the back

Making good printable parts isn't easy lol, im at least 8 iterations in on this 180sx B Wave type II bumper and it still needs some tweaks, but im finally happy with how it fits to the fenders. Gotta work on the headlight bucket area now, and then I can get the headlights, foglights, and lenses done

93 Cobra WIP 5

I have made some additional progress on this build in the last few days.

The wheels and tires I 3d printed. I had the rims designed for this build.

I am really happy with how the engine turned out. I used braided fishing line for the wiring harnesses and intercooler hoses, and painted masking tape for the fan belt. I know this generation of engine didn't have the blue cam covers, but it looked so good with them and it gave me a good pop of color in the silver, black, and red engine bay

All that I have left to do is polish and detail paint the body and final assembly. I should have it finished this weekend.

Hot take maybe: HPIguys workshop

I thoroughly enjoy watching his videos. He uses a lot of rattle cans. Primer and all. He also does great brush work too. He makes models look so easy. I’m over here airbrushing and brush painting. Meticulously going over every fine detail. I feel like he could possibly do a model per week or faster. At the end of the day, he’s producing built kits that look amazing, and I feel like I barely make progress and mine don’t look half as good. Is it just me, or is modeling more involved than he makes it out to be? Am I working harder than I should? Again, his models always look amazing. I just feel like I must be doing something wrong.

Did some test sprays today to see what color I want

The F150 I am currently working on I decided to make some color choices to see the way I want to go with this bagged and bodied curbside kit. These colors dry a completely different color in the iridescent line.

1965 Rambler Classic 770

This is a car that I converted from a old Johan four door sedan promo. Details I added were a side view mirror, rear view mirror, column shifter, turn signal lever, gas pedal, brake pedal, emergency brake pedal, high beam foot button, antenna, door handles, sun visors, convertible boot, and 1965 Virginia license plates. The chrome strip that runs along the top of the rear quarter panels was lengthened about an inch. The rear interior side panels were made from scratch to match what a real convertible interior would look like.

Beginner starter kit

I just completed an Aoshima snap lit (very easy) for the first time. How do I get started in this hobby? Looking for something more advanced than Apshima snap lit but don’t know what to get/where to start…don’t even know what type of paint to get for example.

99% done on the engine bay. Rear hatch painted.

Modified the air filter housing to add whatever it is that was missing. My research highlighted this type of air filter housing was only used on a few Evo1's and was used on this event.

I've also made the brake cooling ducts using some flexible tube, filled with super glue and squashed to create the tips and some rubber cord from Renaissance models to make the ducting hose.

The right side isn't routed yet as the glue is still drying on the tip.

I've also painted the rear hatch and will have the decals applied in a couple days once the paint has fully hardened.

Got my interior conversion done on the revell dodge viper gts, now it's (mostly) accurate to the later model gen 2 viper! The parts are also up on my cults page for free! Updated gauge cluster, steering column, steering wheel, and shifter

Gotta get me a lottery ticket tonight

This tiny light lens popped out of my tweezers onto my workroom floor (painted concrete grey). Used a small broom and dustpan and swept around my work area and was VERY surprised to actually find it. Heading out to get a lottery ticket now. Lol!

Rusty Wallace 1997 Ford Thunderbird.

After I finished my DTS car, I really wanted to make the “real” car it was based on. The kit is a Monogram Thunderbird from 1996 with the same Porch Time decal sheet and a power slide tire marking sheet. It worked out pretty well because I used the 1998 sponsor arrangement on that kit and now I have the 1997 livery on this one.

The kit was in pretty good shape for being 30 years old. I built a bunch of these kits when I was a kid, but this was the first time I had one with the old shark fin roof camera. Of course I realized after I got the pics that I forgot to clean off the polish residue around it. The only real kit issues were a slight warp on the front end and some scratches on the glass. It was a nice day so I got some pics of both cars outside in the sun.

1964 Oldsmoble 442

My upcoming Project. Trying to figure out what color, or colors I want to paint it?

Almost done with my Audi Rally builds. Test fit on the van tonight.

This is the Beemax Audi S1 kit, the Heller car transportation trailer and the Revell VW T3 Bus. I've also used quite a few detail up parts, including the engine mod from UCSP, van decals from Decal Doc. Also did some scratch building on the roof rack and the interior workshop and shelves. Certainly not the cleanest build, but huge amount of lessons learnt. The bonnet will remain up, I just need top fix a hood strut.

Still have a Walter Rorhl figure to paint and finishing touches on the van interior (tools etc.), and then need to glue the van together and build mountings for the roof rack.

Would appreciate any feedback. :)

P. S. I love seeing all the WIP on this sub. Keep up the good work.
