2016 Ford MustanG GT4 Race car

Tamiya kit is pretty detailed and nice mouldings, fit seems good so far. I am building the grey Ford Factory #17 version. Here's where I am currently. I have the body airbrushed a Vallejo Dark Gunmetal, but it orange peeled on me so I have a lot of sanding and polishing to do there.

Gordon Murray Automotive McLaren T50 Racecar by Tamiya

I bought this kit because after several Tamiya kits recently, I found myself spoiled by the fitment and nice finish of the kit parts. Compared to most of the Revell, AMT, Monogram, and other kits I've been doing, the higher quality of Tamiya manufacturing has me almost swearing other brands off.

However, this kit had its challenges for me. There are a LOT of clear windows in the kit, some of which do not install very positively, therefore it's too easy to mis-position one of these and thereby create a glue gob on the window, which I clearly (no pun intended...well, maybe there was) managed to accomplish. The chassis build also had its challenges, with some of the assembly instructions not being clear, causing some consternation on my part. There is some rear engine compartment warp going on as one side doesn't close all the way, but I didn't catch it before paint.

But, I persevered and got it completed. Idk...maybe my eyes arent good enuf any longer, or perhaps I dont have the patience I once had, but I feel like this one should have turned out much better. You be the judge. Oh! I just saw that I forgot the rearview cameras! I will get them on though.

Tamiya 2018 370Z Fairlady Heritage Edition

This was a fun and pleasant build. Everything was molded perfectly, fit and finish of the parts were exceptionally good. The only negative thing about this kit was that there is no engine, as the hood doesn't operate.

Exterior Color is Creatix Pearl Copper, interior is Testors Gloss Yellow and Semi Gloss Black. Wheels came chromed but I used a black permanent marker to darken them to more closely go with the exterior.
