Looks pretty sharp!! Chose the Sublime Green to match the 1970 Roadrunner I built awhile back. Last 4 pictures are of the Roadrunner along with the Charger.
Thinking SubLime Green to match the Roadrunner I did previously. That color was one of the rare colors for the Charger.
Took my time on this one, had some travel interruptions in the process. Looks pretty good!! Let me know your thoughts.
Hitting the paint booth and assembly line!
First 2 pics are the actual car, the rest are my build with a tip of the hat to the “Mod Top” built in 1969, with the green/yellow interior. This was a fun build. Hope you all enjoy.
Next on paint booth and assembly line.
Didn’t turn out to bad! Was a fun one to build, not too easy or hard. Kinda right in the middle.
Small amount of stock replenishment, but it’s a start.
I have always wanted one of these, you know, to drive around….. but guess I will have to settle for this!
After the Nomad build, this one was a walk in the park!! Very simple, not a lot of part. Had to do some trimming for some pieces to fit, but otherwise not a tough build. Enjoy!!
Have always loved this body style on the corvette!!
Finally got this one done!! I have NO PATIENCE LEFT!! This is one of the more challenging kits I have done!! Nothing fit right, a lot of trimming off excess plastic on parts, had to test fit every part for fit and then trim to fit in most cases. Definitely a take your time and wait for glue to dry before moving forward. OH…..this was my first time using chrome pen so it’s a little rough around windows and other places.
Up next on assembly line!
Been a minute or two…….but finally finished!! Spur of the moment trips interfere with my builds! Hope you enjoy!!
I didn’t know it had a trailer included until I went to open the box and seen “FULL TRAILER INCLUDED”.
For some reason the paint seemed sticky, been about 2 weeks since it was painted. Only thing different from my other builds is I used different kind of paint. Thinking that’s the issue. Anyway turned out pretty good.
I think these are the coolest looking trucks!
The D-X brand was widely known in the mid-20th century as a major petroleum marketer in the Midwestern United States.
It was later acquired by Sunray Oil Company to become Sunray DX, and eventually absorbed into Sun Oil Company (Sunoco).
My Grandfather and dad both worked for that company and both retired from there!! So this one is kinda special to me! 🥹
