Image 1 — Been a rough summer only gotten this far on a kit I should have finished weeks ago. Hopefully I’ll find the time to finish soon.

AMT 2004 Pontiac GTO. Overall an above average AMT KIT. Wasn’t able to find the color I wanted so I mixed a custom color after a failed kaleido attempt.

After my failed kaleido attempt I just made up a custom Mr hobby color.

First attempt with Gaahleri kaleido paints did not go well. Paint definitely needed more thinning. Also added gaahleri retarder and it still clumped. Looks like I should just stick to what I know.

Tamiya Mercedes 500 SEC. Great kit as always from tamiya. Was frustrated with the paint job due to the reaction of the paint and plastic. Did my best to still salvage the paint. Last pic was the look I was emulating.

I love doing wood grain steering wheels. Not the best but it’s just cool to do.

Done with all of them, proscale, zero, splash. Tired of all the “hot” paints ruining kits. I know. I know. Light coats. Mist coats. Lots of light coats. Still, done with them. lol

Basic stock build. Great quality from the AMT kit. Fit and finish were fantastic. Lots of decal options.
