Colorado: what to do about ticket that I APPARENTLY got last year, but wasn't notified for?? Or charged?? Effecting ability to work.

I'm sorry if this isn't something for this reddit, just very bamboozled.

Any help on what to do about a traffic violation ticket that I wasn't notified of?? Was apparently ticketed LAST YEAR, way past the time allowance to challenge it.

Location: United States, Colorado. Issuing County was Boulder County. Waiting on official MVR report.

One of my background checks said I got ticketed for not using a turn signal, but it also didn't have the speeding ticket I have (that I was PROPERLY notified of and dealt with), so not too accurate. I also got hassled for the surprise ticket by two different insurance companies. So I made an official dmv report request to see wtf is going on, AND to see when they (should have) sent the ticket. Cause I was never pulled over, nor did I get emailed, called, or texted. Or a summons to court. I also never received a letter to any addresses (3, I moved twice around when I was ticketed), even tho I submitted a change of address in USPS repeatedly, so anything that'd be sent to my old address would be forwarded.

It's an extra 2 points on my record, and is costing me 100+ on my insurance (when trying to get commercial policy, 50+ on my regular policy). I didn't even get a chance to dispute it. Hell, if I was charged a fee I haven't paid it, for the same reason. I didn't even know about this until a month or two ago, when I was trying to get a commercial insurance policy.

What can I do? Is there anything I CAN do?? I am the last person to NOT use turn signals. People not using turn signals infuriates me SO much. I'm so confused and aggravated.

Send help please ;-;

Send help. Obviously not taking any advice given as legal advice, but like. What do I do ;-;

Edit: forgot to say, I also wasn't sent a summons to court.

What it says on the tin. The company has also been very unprofessional (damaged my property in front of me, and both company and management were like "suck it up") and also inconsistent in when they come for treatment. There have been roaches for the entirety of my time here (8-9 months), and according to reviews, it's been a chronic problem in ALL complexes for years, with little to no improvement. They're also already in trouble with my city for code violations.

My lease is only 11 months total- I'd consider waiting it out, but a maintenance worker who lives next to me (and has complete access to the keys to our apartment, and we can't change the lock without providing a copy) has made death threat to me and my roommate (while also calling us slurs). So. Yknow. We want to move out asap. And I only caught some of that on video

Would the roach problem itself be sufficient to break the lease? Cause technically they've been "trying" to fix it. Just failing miserably for years.

(We're also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, but. That doesn't help *us,* it's really just spite)

(Also, side note about the recording- I technically wasn't a part of the convo, so it was technically not allowed bc they didn't consent to being recorded, but like. The threats man.)

Hi y'all, I need good recommendations for products like chain locks and all that. I live in an apartment complex where I can't change the locks, but that doesn't matter- I pissed off a maintenance person (who lives next to me) and he just came out of his house screaming about how he was "going to kill those f****** f*****s" and "those mfing d***s" and plenty of other slurs. And he's a maintenance guy, so he has keys to our apartment. So, ya know. Send help please. All the things I find only talk about old grandparents or kids in the reviews and that's not really gonna work for some grown man

(Yes, I am reporting this to the cops, but the cops don't do anything around here)

(Specific links to products would be appreciated)

New York has recently begun 2-Care (also referred to as 2-K), a program to provide "...free child care for [children up to] two-year-olds in New York City to any family who needs it, regardless of zip code, income or immigration status." (Mayor Mamdani and Governor Hochul Announce First Four Communities to Receive Free 2-K Seats, 2026). It's currently being implemented as it is funded, targeting the communities most in need first (for, 2020).

Currently the program is set to run for two years, though there are petitions and donations to being made to expand it- as it is expect to cost approx $1.2 - $1.3 billion annually (for, 2020). Governor Kathy Hochul has made a commitment of the $1.2 billion needed for the program, and Mayor Zohran Mamdani has made a direct investment of $500 million. "With continued State support, the State’s investment in 2K is expected to grow to $425 million by next year." (Governor Hochul and Mayor Mamdani Announce Major Milestone toward Launching Free Child Care for All Two-Year-Olds in NYC, 2026).

On March third, 2026, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Governor Governor Kathy Hochul announced the first four communities to receive support from 2-Care this fall, which are school districts 6, 10, 18 and 23 (considered to be the same community in this case), and 27. (Mayor Mamdani and Governor Hochul Announce First Four Communities to Receive Free 2-K Seats, 2026). By fall in 2027, it is expected that 2-K will serve over 12,000 kids across all five districts, with hopes of serving every two year old in the city. Surprise deal with BluSky AI bought 36 acre site outside Walsenburg, CO for $248,000 (a disgustingly low price for this IMO). This comes as a surprise for the town, as the deal was quietly disclosed on 10/02/2025 in a company release. Without meeting with Mayor Gary Vezzani (or any town officials for that matter), the town is completely unprepared with an already stressed water supply.

There are currently two bills being made surrounding this and other AI projects:

- House Bill 26-1030, which would, among other things, create a "certification program" that allows qualifying data centers a 20 year get out of jail free card in regards for taxes, as long as the center meets "...levels of capital investment, job creation, and the use of non-water cooling systems."

- Senate Bill 26-102 would require data centers to enter a "long-term contract" that would require clear reporting and electricity from renewable resources by 2031.

Currently the center exists only in theory, as BluSky still has yet to properly hash out county zoning reviews, permits, utilities, and other details that would be finalized in public meetings.
