How long would you say this 05 Hyundai Elantra has left?
There’s obvs quite a bit of buildup. Last owner wasn’t on time with any of his fluids. Pad pcv valve didn’t help.
This car has 215k miles and does very short commutes every day. Last winter it had some yellow residue on the oil cap and occasionally dip stick. Never been milkshake-y during any oil changes. Has consistent fluid levels on everything except oil which has been blowing out at the valve cover and spark plug rings.
I’ve been learning as I go and replacing things as they come up. I’ve finally cleared all engine codes. There is still a bit of a rough idle but I’ve only done two of the four motor mounts. I think the previous owner did something that slightly misaligned the hatchback door because it makes contact to rattle on one side but not the other.
I’m hoping he survives til 300,000 at least but I’d like to be prepared if he probs won’t.
