hi everyone!

for the background, I am currently engaged and planning on getting married in May 2027! We’re very excited and I’m working on planning everything.

my bridal party is extremely small, just consisting of my best friend as my maid of honor although one of my other best friends will be officiating the wedding so I’m including her in the bridal party. My fiancé‘s mom does not want to get her hair and makeup done professionally, which is totally fine. I have no requirements for any of the people in the wedding party because I just want them to have fun. so the three people who are getting their hair and makeup done apart from myself are my maid of honor, my efficient and my mother. I told them that I don’t care what they have done and that if they want their hair and makeup professionally done I will pay for it, and I just want them to feel beautiful!

my hairstylist that I go to is really wonderful and I love his work and so I wanted to have him do my hair for my wedding and he has a friend who does makeup so I asked him if he could write me up a contract.
The price breakdown goes as follows

$250 for bridal hair and $250 for bridal makeup
$150 for bridesmaid makeup ($450 total)
$150-$75 for bridesmaids hair ($225-$450 total)
$450 each for make up and hairstylists day rates and on-site touchups
Total $2,075-$2,300

notably, a trial run for my hair and makeup is not included in this price and I’m not sure what it will cost, but we have to schedule and pay for it separately

I don’t really know anything about what prices I should be expecting, but this seems really high to me. I live in Colorado, United States, which maybe has something to do with this and we are dealing with an independent person as opposed to a company but still.

honestly, I would just love some insight from some other people. Is this too expensive? Should I renegotiate? How much should I expect to pay for three bridesmaids and myself to get her hair and makeup done professionally

Edit: I wanted to say thank you to everyone who replied I really appreciate all of y’all‘s advice! My current plan is to reach back out to the stylist and ask whether or not the day rate is negotiable because it seems like that is the part which is potentially overpriced hopefully, I can get it work down to a more reasonable rate because I would love to go with this person because I trust him, but if that does not work out, then I will plan on looking around in my area.

thanks again to everyone who replied!
