Is this a tapeworm?
So I found my cat, Ezio, outside when he was about 10 weeks old. Originally in Austin, but we live in Denver now. He’s now about 1.5yo & has been struggling with worms his entire life. I’ve taken his stool in to be tested multiple times but it keeps coming out negative, despite the fact that I’ve also brought in several specimen of worms that were literally hanging out of his butt. So, they’ve given us Cestex a few times and that usually helps solve the problem for a few months until they come back.. I also give him NexGard Combo (albeit not as consistently as I should, I’ll admit). He is an indoor cat & I don’t think he’s infected with fleas. Anyway, poor guy has had loose stools recently and even threw up some foam. He seems to be fine now, I’ve got another appointment scheduled with a new vet next week. In the meantime, I’m curious what type of worm you think it might be based on the image linked below. It is very long & segmented, which to me looks like a tapeworm. Thanks!
